EDIT: This seller refunded me down to a normal ESE shipping charge after I asked him about it. Leaving the original post intact below.

I'm sure I'll get the "if you didn't like it why'd you pay the invoice?" treatment. With the resale value of the cards I received I was willing to let a Ground Advantage package go and hit them with low stars on the shipping category, but this is ridiculous. And of course no protection on the cards inside the cardboard mailer other than team bags. Cards were fine luckily.

Just had one show up 47 days after shipment. Needless to say, that is a new record.

Probably been answered 10 times over, but since it's my first experience...

Had my first card ever seemingly lost after a delivery scan... scanned as delivered back on 2/2. I know sometimes delivery scans means the item comes in a day or two late, but I still haven't received it as of today. Do I have any recourse as a buyer? Just seems dumb that something gets marked delivered before it ever even gets onto the truck and then I'm out of luck.

Contact the seller and explain the situation... evidently they can get reimbursed through the PIP insurance even if there is a delivery scan. They can refund you and file the claim to get their money back.

You can contact the seller and politely let him know that the card never arrived. The seller is not obligated to refund, but could because he is covered by the PIP insurance. You could try contacting eBay, if you get the right person(unlikely) in a good mood(even more unlikely), they could process a 1 time courtesy refund for you without any harm to the seller. If the seller should decide to refund, he will be out the shipping cost if any was paid.....some sellers don't like to refund because they do not get refunded for shipping costs thru the PIP insurance claim.

Thanks y'all. Had already reached out to the seller and he wasn't willing to do anything. Guess I'm out of luck on this one.

File a not received claim with ebay. There is a chance ebay may refund ypu themselves

Sold/Shipped Jan 27 with USPS tracking says Origin Processing for 2.5 weeks until today. Buyer filed chargeback on Feb 13 and received refund from eBay on Feb 14 without even checking the tracker. So nice that eBay just slapped me for doing my job and USPS not doing theirs. I filed an appeal to get $5 back, I need to eat.

Was this an ESE shipment or Ground Advantage? Did buyer file with his credit card company as a chargeback, or with eBay as INR complaint?

Shipped under $20 eBay shipping with tracker. Buyer file eBay didn't receive card, sorry for confusion with chargeback because eBay refund is different than Paypal chargeback which locks the whole account.

I filed an appeal, appeal was done within 1-2 hours. I didn't follow too closely was checking e-mail and saw the e-mail appeal decision

After reviewing the case, we decided to reverse the outcome and grant your appeal.

You'll receive a refund of US $5.09 to your total funds.

This case will not affect your seller performance, and we’ll remove any feedback that was posted for this item.

In 2020, I had a first class package show up that was shipped in the spring of 2018. It was a small lot that I had forgotten about. I asked the clerks at my post office if they knew the story, but they had no idea.

When you offer free shipping on ESE why cant these buyers use the DANG CART? Why do the have to pay separately for 3 items? So nice to get those extra processing fees! on $2 items.

The first sentence in all my listings is:

"If you are buying multiple cards from my store please add them all to your cart and then do one checkout when you have finished shopping. Thank you."

Even with that verbage in my listing they still buy separately sometimes, so if they do I send this message:

XXXX, thank you for choosing my eBay store to help with your sports-card collection, I really appreciate it. In the future, if you choose my store again to buy multiple cards like you did today, would it be possible that you add them all to your cart first and then do one checkout like it mentions in the listing? When you pay for them individually like you did today I have to pay a managed payment transaction for each one. I understand that it's my cost of doing business, but I always like to pay fewer fees whenever possible. If not, I totally understand and will still execute the same efficient customer service that I always do. Thanks again for choosing my store. Regards, Nick

Sometimes sending that message helps and sometimes it doesn't, but sending it keeps me somewhat sane.

So the buyer opened a claim and Ebay forced the refund in one day? They usually require 3 days before a buyer can escalate it to Ebay for a decision.

Even if that is accurate if the item did not show delivered on the 14th then they made the right call. If I am understanding the item was updated as delivered on the 15th so on the 14th is was not marked delivered. Ebay made the right call. Its an easy appeal since you let Ebay force the refund.

I have this in mine, but buyers do not read and don't care. I mean if we want the sales we are forced to accept it and are stuck with it. Sucks to be us, but just needed to vent it.

Please Wait FOR INVOICE so that you do not over pay. If you do buy multiple items and pay for each individually before we can combine them we will not be able to refund you the difference as we are incurring added fees from EBAY. So please use the EBAY CART or wait for an invoice so you can save money .

I don't get a ton of multi-item buyers anyway but with all the prepayment on offers I rarely get the opportunity to have them use the cart. I have started playing around with messages in the description about $0.30 transaction fee taken out of any refunds, add items to the cart for combined shipping, etc. but don't think anyone has done it yet.

My cheapest cards are $1.99, free ESE shipping.

I run a continuous Buy 1, get 3 50% off sale to help move cheap inventory, but also to encourage buyers to add 4+ items to their cart to avoid the multiple processing fees and to allow me to send multiple cards in 1 ESE (instead of paying separate shipping charge for each).

yeah, I had one guy buy 9 separate items over a week. I combined the original order and refunded the excess shipping (or maybe I didn't, can't remember now), but the next 5 or 6 I just mailed separate with their own ese.

I did just have a seller send in ESE while charging $6.24 for 2 items. Seems that's the norm for the guy. I should have cancelled the 1st win and not tried to win other cards/lots after reading the feedback

Had a ESE sale marked delivered a few weeks ago. Low and behold I get it back RTS. Let the buyer know and shipped it back out to him. ESE is strange sometimes.

Got lucky on this one. Filed an item not received and claim was denied since it showed delivered. Filed an appeal and eBay ruled in my favor with an “item stolen after delivery” ruling.

eBay didn't make the right call basically they heavily favored the buyer despite the tracker saying it is still in Original Processing different than tracker saying something like USPS has not received item yet. I messaged the buyer that the card is on its way, no response. He wanted card and money.
