My point was most Ohtani fan boyz have repeatedly told us that he is so valuable because he plays two positions. Likewise, you also have to realize, he's a huge risk and liability if injured because you then lose two players. So, it goes both ways in that he is more valuable and a higher risk which makes him a little less valuable.

Again, you obviously can't comprehend a point. Ohtaini is unique and one of a kind because like another poster said, he had the talent and drive to ensure he could be a two-way player in Japan and then here in the US. No one does this in the US or Hispanic countries coming up because they are told to specialize and usually fall in line; my guess is because they want to make it to the Show and don't want to anger the status quo. We'll probably never know if another player, not named Ohtani, could be doing the things he's doing.

Sadly I believe Ohtani will stay in LAA where he and Trout will rot in playoff purgatory for the next 10 years. Houston will reload and win more WS, Tex and Seattle will build contenders, and LAA will pump its 4th and last place finishing teams with losing record MVPs.

He does seem to have some physical advantages in terms of build and proportions that makes it possible. Similar to how a guy like Michael Phelps was built to be a swimmer.
