I created the 2019 Thread but thought it makes sense to have just one thread for the future. Lets try to stick to one thread to avoid confusion.

You guess is as good as mine. My guess is hitting- 2019 and Pitching-2020. His TJ surgery was successful.

Yeah, I saw it. The non auto superfractor sold for $1750. I was focused on Acuna and Soto at that time and missed it:rolleyes:

I'll post it again because it's the only decent Ohtani I have. I really need to make a point of targeting a few Ohtanis this year. His value is going to be suppressed until '20, I think. I love that Transcendent!

I ripped two Value packs the other day and crapped myself when I hit this.

Congrats once again on the hit:)! I agree, currently his prices are low and this might be the right time to pick up his cards for cheap. Ohtani Transcendent/83 sells for around $100-150 whereas Acuna's Transcendent/83 sells for $350-$400. I have both but just saying the price difference is almost three times!

I don't see them DHing him more than 3-4x a week this year. I think his cards will be under the radar all year. But I imagine now is probably the low point, with such a small 2019 outlook ahead. I might have to jump on one of those Transcendent at those prices.

During his 2018 season, he only pitched on Sunday's. You think Trout puts fans in seats? See Ohtani. On his Sunday home pitching games, he basically sells out the stadium and the Asian community turns out in herds. They cheer for him like crazy. Nobody leaves the seats when he's pitching, people take bathroom breaks when the Angels bat. And when Ohtani gets pulled out of the game, about 90% of the stadium empties. I hope this atmosphere continues during his starts.
