I bought tons of Ohtani rookies for $2-$5 alot have dimed others I have sold off to pay for the grading. Nothing unfortunately rare but man I love watching this guy!

Got my Ohtani slabs out for a family photo. Not as exciting as what usually gets shared here but got most for relative steals and about half I had graded myself.

I would have taken them!

One of my funniest purchases was from a member here. He was sick of pulling Ohtani so he made a YouTube video showing 80 or so cards for a lot price because he was too lazy to take pictures. It had a couple sapphire rookies, a 150 blue refractor, and at least a couple dozen chrome RCs with refractors mixed in. Not to mention dozens more of base. I think I paid $200. I honestly enjoy thinking about those types of purchases more than the autos I bought.

He is on fire. Don’t like seeing players as big as Trout and Ohtani stealing bases, not worth the risk. Wait till post season.

I sold a few base duplicates in summer of 2021.

I gave away a 2018 kanji Topps now card (base, not auto) to a friend whose daughter is obsessed with Japanese culture and also plays softball.

I am most fortunate in pulling a 2020 Allen & Ginter X Ohtani Gold Auto 2/5 when that product was released and even more fortunate that no one would offer over $225 on it. It remains in my collection and will forever more.

2020 Allen & Ginter X was really good to me. Ohtani currently is on front row legend status. Don’t know what I’m doing if he reaches icon status.

A minor award, but I think Ohtani has locked up AL Player of the Month for June?
Over the last 30 games, he leads the AL in:
  • HR (16)
  • RBI (31)
  • OBP (.480)
  • SLG (.972!)
  • OPS (1.452, nearly 400 points higher than 2nd)
  • Hits (42)
  • Runs (28)
  • Triples (3)

Oh, and he also started 5 games and logged a 3.26 ERA and 37 K's in 30 innings on the side.
