People can bash this 1 year grading sportscard company, but they are turning around cards much quicker than their 40 day number. They graded 8,000 more cards between the 20th-26th. PSA is king, but CSG is long longer a jester.

Same - one more bulk order and reholder order this week from me. Get them all back by the NFL/NBA new season hype.

Then I'll wait and see for a bit to see what happens to a lot of card/grading/economy factors.

Pleased with the grades as well

10's = 27
9.5's = 18
9's and below = 8

The 9's and under were vintage for my PC and were not expected to 9.5 or 10.

CSG's data of weekly submissions, gem rates, and other data should all be considered very skeptically at this point. With all re-holders getting new cert numbers there are many cards that are double counted. Also gem rates could be artificially inflated with old label 9.5's being counted as "new" CSG 10's.

I put my last order in and will be driving it to the post office today. I decided to put this auto in my bulk order just to get slabbed. 78 cards. I was going to submit two more 50 orders, but some of the cards that I want slabbed can be had for less than the price of grading right now.

Man! The greats of the past truly took pride in their autograph compared to the superstars of today. Awesome card!

CSG seems to be pretty steady.

Received bulk 60 items on 6/16 and items shipped today 6/28. Pretty good TAT for that service. I wish I selected the Fedex shipping on that, the USPS registered mail service is slow.

Reholder shipment shipped Saturday.

Sending another 70 cards tomorrow morning. Then will prep some to meet the july 5th print out date.

My bulk received on 6/9 is still "scheduled for grading."

I think they are getting more submission than people want to give them credit for. They are a major player in the market you described, until significant price reduction happens with PSA AND SGC.

Everyone should keep doing bulk submissions. especially before the fee hike.
Will be spending all weekend getting my bulks subs ready.

My bulk that was received on 6/9 shipped today. Grades were pretty much in line with what I expected, except for this one:

That hurts. 😕

I don't collect modern, but do they have the same back as the 1973 Topps. If it is black on the back and has any type of edge/corner issue, it will look 10 x's worse than it really is. Finding a 1973 Rich Gossage to grade, which got a 7 from PSA, took many, many hours on eBay to find one good enough to grade.

Economy Submission (six cards)

Recieved - 6/21
Scheduled for Grading - 6/23
Grading/Encalsulation/Imaging - 6/24
Grading/Quality Control - 6/29

A little slower than my last Economy order, but still should be well within their advertised timeframe. This order will be interesting to see the grades for as one of the cards was one I sold on ebay as "not graded but estimated to be NM/MT". The person that purchased it, did a return saying it was worse quality than that, something I've never had happen before. So, now I am curious enough to get it graded and see what its evaluated at.

Looks like CSG cards are starting to show on the PWCC auction house via the partnership they started a few months back.

https://www.csgcards.com/news/articl...sg-pwcc-cards/

Looks like its helping CSG as here are the numbers from the current PWCC auction that ends on July 3rd

12837 total items:
PSA: 8137 Items 63%
BGS: 843 Items 6.56%
SGC: 711 Items 5.53%
CSG: 1531 items 11.9%
CGC: 1378 items 10.7%

Can't say exactly how many cards were graded via the partnership.

Dug a little more into this to figure out a baseline. Math might be a bit off and it not exact for sure but using their fixed place marketplace here is what I have come up with.

Total Items: 61,745
PSA: 40,912: 66.25%
BGS: 11,354: 18.87%
SGC: 3632: 5.88%
CSG: 649: 1.05%
CGC: 2423: 3.92%

Looks like the new program helped them get a bit of the market share from PSA and a lot from BGS. $20 for 10 day service and unlimited declared value probably helped out as well. Will see the make-up of next weeks auction to see if the trend holds.

I was looking into it. But what is a big unknown is what if you users card grades out "not so good". All cards that sub thru this program HAS TO GO straight into the auction . Might not end up so good for the first batch of auctions thru this program(that is how i read it). Same as the first week of auctions outside of ebay, made alot of good buys that first week. Who knows , just my thinking .

I want my cards in the marketplace under fix pricing for now(until the market stabilizes ). Was excited when i first seen this program, then realized it for auction cards not fix pricing.

Market share is important, but value is more important.

In the last auction, 384/877 (43.8%) CSG/CGC items went unsold or sold for $24 or less after BP. $24 is the break even price after grading fees. Just so much junk.

Yeah, the amount of base or worthless inserts being graded by TPGs is mind boggling. At this point I am thinking only 5-7% of cards are worth being graded. Probably less than 1% of new releases.

Grade, that sucks they need to go straight to auction. Would be nice if they gave the option to keep it in the fixed price marketplace especially with cardpocalypse upon us.
