Honestly I would pony up the $80 or so and just take it to UPS and have them ship AND package it.

That makes sense for sure and I’ll have to remember that. But for $1400 I would just have the “pros” do it and make the responsibility be on them.

Yes, we have.

And I have to add we have redone our large framed item shipping after seeing yours.

I honestly have found it the best and safest method.

Have seen cases where they dont take responsibility for it. Seller in a facebook group fought ups for over a month on an item they packaged. Ups refused insurance due to bad packaging

Refused insurance on bad packaging.....on a package that they packaged?

That’s worse customer service than topps.

Have to remember UPS does not run most of those packing places. They are generally contracted out to private individuals so anything mailed through them is just like you or me sending it.

Like the branded UPS Stores? I thought those were owned and operated by UPS?

They are all independently owned and operated.

That’s really good to know. A few Years ago I sold some really large (like 3’x4’) stained glass panes. I used them and thankfully they arrived safely, but that’s good information to know. Thank you Shreve!!!!

Thats a major flip! Congrats! Today I hit a new goodwill, all shirts were $10, I found a new without tags pair of True religion jeans, that someone cut the size tag out of for some reason for $7.50 a like new pair of soft science Fin2.0 shoes for $6 and a sharper image robosaur NIB for $6. One thing they had that irritated me, and i spent about an hour looking for the matching pairs, on the shelf they had 2 shoes that were both Footjoy Classics Tour edition golf spikes but not a matching pair. They both looked new. Also got a NWT Burton Air snapback for $2. Nothing huge, but some pretty good profits

I'm just curious man but how are you determining all these items are "New Without Tags." I mean I would understand if they still had original stickers or something but to me someone cutting out a size sticker would tell me it had been worn at some point. Seems kinda unethical and something that could get you in trouble with eBay without knowing for sure.

So should I take it to UPS, FedEx, or do it myself and insure it. I have never done something this big. I don't really care how much it costs. Even if it's like over $100 to ship it, I still making out like a bandit on this.

We had one of those that was up to it's 7th life. We gave it to a customer and they have had two issues with it.

I agree. If its in a thrift store even if it looks brand new I call it pre-owned. Only time I might say that would be if it has its tags on it when I find it but I need to wash it first. Then I might, but still would likely say pre-owned at that point to be safe.

Goodwill updated their cash register system and decided to sell off their old cash registers. I bought all 3 for $30 a piece and ended up finding a $20 bill inside one stuck behind one of the drawers.

Already sold all 3 to the same buyer only 3 hours away from me. Had to package each one separately and Fedex Ground only cost me $14.50 a piece. I love when heavier items ship close by.

Ended up profiting $242.00 off the whole deal. Pumped! Now here's hoping for a safe delivery.

Ended up shipping my art piece through FedEx.
It's size was 29x36 and about 15lbs.
They double boxes it and wrapped it in bubble wrap for $26.
2 Day Ground shipping from Houston to Atlanta was $29 with insurance and signature confirmation. So not that bad. I was ready to pay around $100.

It's not hard to tell. The majority still have the original stores factory fold creases in them from packaging. You can tell if a pair of Jean's has ever been worn, again it's not that hard. Original folds, stiffness, button holes never had a thing pushed through them etc. As far as clothing, that is all I really look for, either vintage or new. Out of selling over 300 NWOT items I have never had a single complaint or return.

Also Macys and bloomingdale's donates the majority of their returns. Many have tags, some have stickers. They are all brand new. As to the tag being cut out, a lot of people will cut out a size tag when they donate to discourage re sellers.

Whatever makes you sleep at night man. I'm not talking just about the jeans, you have dress shirts, t-shirts, etc. Without stickers or tags, there is no way you know for sure, you are just guessing. I could wear a t-shirt once around the house and never wear it again then donate it. Guarantee there is no way you can tell it's worn. You do you.

I can spot a NWOT pair of jeans on the rack without touching it, and just touching them confirms it. Like he said it’s really not hard, especially with jeans- maybe in the future when you have tons of years under your belt in the industry, you will be able to tell also.

There’s enough negativity and garbage on this site, can you please- again - chill out a bit with the combative behavior on this particular thread? I’m sure it would be appreciated by all regulars, this is an escape off-topic thread where we like to help each other and encourage each other.

Yes there is, just as callou2131 said, factory folds, button holes not being used etc. Seriously, do you wake up on the wrong side of the bed every morning? You are so pessimistic about everything.
