Stained glass were not a case hit last year. I saw many breaks and they were found about every 3-4 boxes. Breakers probably started that rumor or maybe the people selling lied to sell their hits for more.

I do remember that there were 2 numbered cards per hobby box.

I think the rarity of all the inserts is overblown, but hobby is so expensive that many people won’t rip, so they might seem rare-ish if not too many show up for sale. If boxes were like $250 and everyone was ripping them, these so-called rare inserts would be very plentiful.

I think so. Even when Genesis parallels were coming out of every retail product there were those claiming it was very rare and short-printed.

We all know now theres probably close to 300 of each.

Fact is people love lying about the rarity of parallels or inserts so they can sell either their breaks or their hits.

I think we’re agreeing with each other, my last post may have been worded poorly. I was saying that all those hobby exclusive inserts are not rare at all and I don’t think any of them are even close to case hits.

There is a 300 card set with 185 total numbered cards falling at 1 per box.

Chase inserts are 100 falling at 4 per box.

With those numbers, the PR for the inserts is 2220. If there are 2 numbered cards per box, it would be 1110.

I think the problem is the insane number of boxes for this for Hobby. Every box should have 2 or 3 parallels for a PR of 2000 cases. They printed so much it seems retail is the only way to go until prices fall hard.

panini doesnt care, they are out of the game soon

we have to somehow pray and hope Fanatics is seeing this. The bubble burst months ago, yet somehow wax prices keep rising. Its like they still think its May 2020

one of my go to breakers is struggling mightily to fill just the 2nd "3box PYT" of the day after the first 3 boxes were ripped almost 2 hours ago

They still have like 4 years left...that's not that soon.

If 4-5 years fanatics will be wishing they never got involved in the first place.

the box breaks on basketball and football (and everything else) by blowout members have been miniscule lately.

how can Panini (and the big three) possibly think raising the prices or keeping them were they are, is going to work?
The number of people they are fooling has become so much smaller.
Even the breakers are feeling the crunch. Lots of small to medium online group breakers have barely anything up right now.

I used to buy $150,000-200,000 of Hobby product mostly from Blowout and a few others every year. Now that is down to less than $50,000 a year.
I have the funds to buy what i used to, but outside baseball, my ROI is terrible except for a few unopened cases.
I've bought so much more retail since Jan. 2020. Not as much fun, but the only way to have a decent return.

So many things about this box sound great:
Lots of cards, guaranteed auto, lots of parallels and inserts. Would probably be a super fun rip...if it didn't cost $775!
It's sad that something that could be so much fun is ruined by a ridiculous price tag.

Panini & the big 3 are counting on the small group of top tier breakers to continue buying up their wax. And these breakers are relying on the same few whales that keep purchasing the top teams in all their breaks. For each breaker, it's always the same names that buy up the top team spots for every release. If what you're saying is true regarding how much of your disposable income you spend on wax, I salute you as you're one of the smarter ones who has come to your senses more quickly

Ripping wax has become a hobby that's mostly enjoyed by a small circle of people. I can easily see this stunting the growth of this hobby and having long-term repercussions. But of course, Panini & their distributors are not thinking long term. They're trying to print as much $ as they can until they lose their licenses

Go buy hockey flagship boxes.
Best ROI in any sport.

I guess the National Pride subset has nothing to do with Team USA anymore? I see Maxey, Ball, Edwards in the set

I love the white /25 with this years design. There's a great looking LaMelo white on ebay right now - albeit over priced.

I'll be picking up some Raptors in the White when i see them for sure.

And I'll echo what everyone is saying. The Inserts really don't look all that SP at all.

The whites looked sharp last year too. I saw a few football breaks and they looked very good.

None of the inserts are case hits.

The word youre looking for is box. Box hits. You get various inserts per box.
