I have a few nicer PC cards with CSG right now - I'll probably wind up waiting to see how those go before I pull the trigger on more.
If they are PC cards, the urgency wouldn't be a big deal to me. CSG is really improving in TAT. I sent in a 14 card economy order with subgrades (60 + 5 day advertised TAT) that they received on 1/3 and shipped back on 1/24, or 21 work days.

ETA: Sorry, calculated wrong, the actual TAT was only 15 working days on the economy sub.

Yeah, #1 concern is making sure I wouldn't absolutely take a bath on the grading piece, which sounds like isn't categorically true of CSG right now at a minimum.

Beyond thrilled with my first express sub.

Sent to CSG 1/20
Marked received by CSG 1/25
Graded & marked shipped 1/27

7 Bowman chrome autos. 4x 9.5s, 2x 9.0s, 1x 8.5.

I consider myself a fairly decent eye when it comes to grading, and I knew the Haynes red had a back o/c issue and a slight surface line. Would have probably been an easy PSA 9 or even 10, given their "look the other way" tendencies on print lines and back centering. But I wanted it slabbed, it's a PC card, and I actually appreciate the fact that CSG really is sticking to their guns on the grades.

But my favorite part of it? The high-res scans. That is such a huge benefit for folks who want to sell their cards and have a crappy scanner at home.

Look at these beauties-

Sweet harry ford. So jealous. But with such a high value card, I’d probability send it to PSA personally.

I just sent in my first two subs, mix of PC and chrome prospects/autos. I bought a slab on eBay and was super impressed w the quality. Plus, way cheaper and quicker than PSA.

I’m w others, think the quality of the slabs and the tighter grading could prove to be a good combo long term

Sent an order in December, received 1st week of January. Status already says in grading. Credit card was charged today so I called to find out what’s going on. My package was randomly selected into their new process and she said I would more than likely have my order back within a month. Lucky me, 165 day turn around time Is now 40 on this order. Sometimes things go your way. This was a 50 card bulk order.

Can they put my orders from October into that process? 😊

I still have an order I sent in from May that is also in the final stage so its very possible I will get both orders back at the same time.

We had this happen on the CGC side as well. Got an order back in 40 days because it was randomly selected to go into their new process.

With PSA opening back up, SGC/CSG will be hurting for submissions at their current price point. We will have cheaper grading with quicker turnaround times much quicker than anyone knows. I think the hobby will be in a good place for SGC/CSG. HGA and the 50 other startups from the past year will be all going out of business. BGS will be number 4, I have no idea what they are doing. It seems like Beckett just wants to go out of business.

Bulk for CSG is at 115 days. This was sitting at 133 for the longest time and 183 longer than that. Economy is listed 39 days. The above example is much quicker than that for economy. Any recent experience on bulk returns? I would like to see it the 70-80 range. Three months seems like a fair return for cheap prices.

I just had part of a bulk order come back at 79 days. Of the 65 cards I sent in 15 of them were for a friend of mine, and he didn't want subs on 7 of them. Those 7 are the ones that got through in 79 days. The other 58 are still listed as being in grading.

I have a 69 card bulk order dropped off in person on 11/19/21. Marked received on 12/3/21. It has been in Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging for more than a week. Is that part normal? A three card regular submission was in grading for a day. We're on day 10 with this one.

It'll be in grading for the majority of its time there. Being bulk it'll probably be a couple of months before it comes out of grading, but you could get luckily and have it pop sooner.

94 card order on the way. Got 8 Pristines (no perfects), so I'm happy with that. A lot of PC stuff, no huge cards. Some mid-level and junk wax key rookies. But there was this Brady included: https://www.csgcards.com/certlookup/1015991069/

Bulk order I sent in may 2021 popped today. Thought I was going to get slaughtered on the grades as most of the cards are known for surface issues. No 10’s but 25 of the 50 came back 9.5. 17 came back 9 and 8 cards between 7 and 8.5. Pretty happy with this order.

Wow, talk about a quick turnaround. Looks like they got through my economy order in a week. Can’t beat that.

Got 9.5s on two Victor Acosta autos and Mayer base chrome

Got one 8.5 Volpe chrome

Economy order shipped 1/19, arrived 1/24, logged 1/28, shipped back 2/11.

3 cards for my PC. I think they were pretty fair. The card below is for my main PC - it was the cleanest RPA I've ever seen grade wise, and they gave it pretty much what I would have expected. 10 auto.

Just had my 58 card bulk order sent in October hit Quality Control/Finalized, which means it should be shipping early this week. That puts it at just under 90 days, which is well under the 160 days or whatever they had for the longest time as their bulk turnaround.

That is fantastic, sounds like they are keeping up now. The initial surge is done. Give us the details of how you did!!!

It won't be long until keeping up turns into not having enough cards to grade. We will start to see prices drop and turnaround times get lightning quick as PSA opens up. My advice is if you are not flipping cards, just be patient. Don't submit until CSG needs your cards!

Grades just popped. Overall pretty happy. Mostly 9.5s, a few 9s, and a couple of surprise 8.5s but nothing egregious. Did get a Pristine 10 on a friend's Heritage Minor League card. Favorite card of the submission was this one, though, and I was stoked to get the 9.5:

Just one sub away from a 10.
