Look I can really care less what you have to say obviously you guys have no ethical values. I don't care what you say you can't spot or tell an item is never worn by just touching it. People wear items one time and then never again and donate them and there's literally no difference between them and something that's been never worn I guarantee it. I get it you can get better prices for listing new without tags. But bottom line is you're purchasing it from a thrift store and have absolutely no clue if it's new or used unless it has tags or original stickers. I'm trying to help people have little bit of ethical value which you clearly don't care about. But like I said it doesn't matter what I say you're still going to do you so just do you. I really can't believe so many of you have no problem listing items as new when you all you are going on is the look of it. It's just really sad what you have to make a few extra bucks on an item.

I sold 1400 items for $43k last year and didn't have to artificially call anything NWOT when I had no clue, imagine that.

Yep have no idea. Like I said you are clueless and unethical. If that's how you want to run your business have at it. I'm done talking about it.

For me its just a personal decision. Yes its usually obvious, however i have seen how most donations are handled even if new with tags they are often tossed in with everything else. Some donations come in just simply nasty and they are usually thrown in same sorting bins.

I dont think it unethical just not what i do

I usually just put item appears to be unworn if it looks like its NWOT.

If it has tags still I usually put deadstock since my stuff is mostly Vintage, but also use NWT. Retailers don't pull every item that has been tried on. I don't think there is anything unethical if you are listing pictures and describing the item accurately.

Went to an estate sale this morning. It was more like a large yard sale. Best pick up was a sealed package of 3 N95 facemasks for $1. I did buy a couple of hats and a few other low dollar items. Was disappointing though.

There is another tomorrow that looks much better.

Not in the south. I'm in the West.

A bunch of the really old unmarked stuff is pretty valuable. You have to know what you're looking at. She's been on a roll!

I’m in the west too- stop hogging it all!

There was a REALLY THICC BOI that was unmarked and had to be 100+ years old but there was a hairline crack on the handle and didn’t want to mess with it. It had to have weighed 30 pounds.

If the price is right, you’d be amazed how the cracked ones sell as well. A lot of them go to collectors and it might be the one needed to complete their “rainbow” so to speak. Obviously not near as much as uncracked but still impressive.

I’m sorry everyone but I guess I didn’t learn my lesson last week with the Ripken signed book.

Bought a Joe Montana signed book today for $1

I watch Ralli Roots because to me they are the best at giving well rounded information. And they would never buy an item for it to sit for years to make $8. It's just bad business man. I just don't agree with you encouraging people to go out an buy items that may sit forever in the hopes that someone buys it a year later for such a small profit, especially if you are part time. But everyone is free to run their business as they see fit. From my personal experience I just would rather not waste my time sourcing and listing such low profit longtail items.

I suppose this did not age well.

I listed roughly 20 items last night including the Ripken book. The book sold in less than 12 hours for $15.

I’m just happy it didn’t sit there for years until I got an $8 profit as was predicted.
