I find a lot of amazing finds throughout the year but this morning was one of my best ones to date. Picked up 10,000 90's and early 00's inserts and parallels all top loaded with 75% being basketball. Good end to the year from the procurement side of things.

So jealous. I use 90's inserts for giveaways with my apparel sales. If you want to do some trading I can go through my giveaway stacks and figure out what I'm low on. I need T-Wolves for sure.

I’ll take a look. I have barely even looked at anything yet, just skimmed through because of the quantity. I’m tired from carrying them downstairs.

I strangely inherited an antique baby highchair. I have no clue what to do with this thing and my mom wants to take it home.

Anyone familiar with the market on antique baby items? It looks like it COULD go for a few hundred, I don't know the maker of it at all. But with it being 100% wood, no way will I be able to ship this thing since I can't break it down.

I guess that's an option, but I first must take a 12 hour round trip journey just to bring it back into my own hands.

Today's episode of Sold! features a 1997 Bowmans Best Roy Halladay In Person Auto from The Smoky Collection and a pennant that I never thought would sell.

Vintage board games strike again. Savers provides bountiful cheap priced board games.

How often are the games you buy incomplete? That possibility scares me from pursuing that category aggressively...

One of the few things I truly miss from the north are the Savers stores.

Not too many times are the games incomplete. You can always check on eBay on current listings or previous sales to verify pieces by looking at the pictures. That’s the best way if you aren’t sure. Even if the game doesn’t have all the pieces, it can still sell well, or you can break it up and sell the pieces as spares. The great thing is these thrift stores don’t know the value of the board games.

Even complete games are often worth more if you part them out.

Axis and Allies is a prime example

My first real pick was a board game (going out to try and buy something to sell) a 40th Anniversary RISK. Had I not found that I may have never tried again. Funny thing though is I have not bought a board game to resell in 5 almost 5 years.

Do you think with the standard deduction on tax returns rising you’ll see less high end items being donated because there would be less of an opportunity to write them off?

After April of this year I think you will see a hit and some people just throwing stuff away and not collecting it to take it to a donation box, center, or store. Too many people dont realize the new rules.

Local Goodwills were advertising get your donations in before tax time, we stopped and told a woman the new tax laws and she had no clue that her donation didnt help her anymore until we said something.

Can't find any DB initials that make sense. Unless there are some other theories as to the initials that are not DB.

Could the first name start with a "R"? Kinda looks like it to me.

That signature doesn't necessarily have to be from a player. Could be from a celebrity that someone ran into while wearing the hat?

So question from a newbie:
What are obvious cant lose (most thrift shops here price tshirts at $1.99) stuff to get us started?
From my research it seems DISNEY, liscensed sports, and/or concert/music stuff are obvious?
Would love any constructive help for starters!
Thanks in advance
Hey guys ,big thanks for all the feedback and advice. My wife & I hit 6-7 Thrift Shops over the weekend and spent about $60 total. Most stuff is now posted on her eBay account (if you want to follow our progress -> https://www.ebay.com/usr/vintythrifty )
Looking fwd to learning a ton and hopefully making a couple bucks throughout the year!
