I've decided to just not login and use their site. I despise 2FA.

I can login to eBay, paypal, my bank account, and my mortgage website faster than COMC. Those don't constantly ask me to use a code and they certainly don't need one EVERY TIME I want to login.

Yeah, I was able to go most of the day without re-verifying, then I closed my browser and had to do it again when I re-opened.

EDIT: Now it's no longer working for me, getting timed out every 10 minutes again and have had to verify my email 3 more times without closing my browser.

Now it's not sending verification codes!!!!! Not to spam not to my inbox. Site has been slow when I get in and sales are non-existent.

They need to do something to make up for this. I have never seen a business so poorly run.

As has been pointed out by many, no warning, no safety net for 10+ year old accounts.

COMC, JUST TURN IT OFF UNTIL YOU FIGURE IT OUT, FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, what has been happening internally where COMC has had to keep implementing these security hammers. Believe there was a forced password change, then the captcha and now this. Any notable insurances?

Malicious attempts to ship cards? Logging in and repricing to purchase on other accounts? Some new standard for something upcoming? Odd.

Captchas are 10x better than this. Takes like 5-10 seconds but some of you guys acted like they were impossible.

Whomever came up with this, should be fired. This is an absolute idiotic gong show. Time to cash out and go to sportlots, which seems to be way better than this garbage.

What is even more frustrating is how they are digging their heels in and refusing to communicate in any way shape or form on this. They have disabled the chat, will delete any post about it on social media and sent the same bot reply by email. At least explain why this was thrown out with no warning. Was there a major hack? Was there mistake implementing it? Is their a new kid with an MBA but no people skills fresh out of college who took a major position there?

I average $15-25 a day on sales with $5-10 on a bad day and may get $50+ once a week. I have had 4 dollars in sales since Monday night. Maybe that is just me, but it if it everyone, they have to have noticed the drop.

I have way too many cards to just cash out without a large investment of time or loss on money, and there is no real direct competitor, so I feel stuck. I'll just ride this out until someone there wakes up.

Good luck with that whole deal. They are not even on the same end of the services. This silliness is insane, but leaving to go to Sportlots is even crazier.

This issue is temporary. I think it is terrible and the fact that they did not communicate AGAIN is a much larger problem than this bump in the road. There has to be a reason that this is happening, but since we receive no communication on this we will continue to throw a fit about it.

Now if someone can come up with an alternative to COMC that does what COMC does, maybe then we can talk. Right now it is still unrivaled with what it does.

They can't get out of their own way. Who on earth thought this new login method was acceptable? We don't know the issue is temporary, we can only assume it is. They won't tell us.

There is no logical reason for this a.) lack of communication and b.) verification process. It should be an IP verification ONE time, not every 30 min.

Long time COMC member here. I've been avoiding the site like a plague until this issue is fixed. I do not want to open my email and search for a code every time I want to login to the website.

Brutal.

Small sample size, but I've definitely noticed a big drop. Excluding eBay sales, which obviously are unaffected by the change, I've sold 5 cards for 5 dollars since Monday afternoon. Normally, that would be more like $45 in direct onsite sales.

Only silver lining for me has been that eBay sales have been good this week.

Unfortunately, this is is 3rd time I've felt stuck in the three years (processing backlogs, shipping backlogs). Will just try to hold on tot he thought that they usually get out of their own way in the end.

Yeah there’s no rhyme or reason to how and when they decide to “time you out”.

As a fairly active buyer, I get enough good deals where I’ll continue to jump through the increasingly annoying and frequent hoops they’re asking for.

It’s the new and less frequent users that might take issue and move on elsewhere.

If I was a comc seller, I’d be pi$$ed.

Why should COMC change their behavior when people keep sending in their cards to be processed (aka..they are making their money whether you are pissed off or not!)

Has anyone had a successful cash-out recently? I did one 8 days ago before this fiasco and haven't received my paypal $ yet. Getting a little concerned as I've always received them by business day 5 like clockwork.
