its going to dramatically slow down traffic to the site

I thought it was a random 1 time thing. They seem intent on just doing dumb thing after dumb thing with no explanations to the user base.

I miss the captchas.

The site is also very slow since the app went live. :mad:

There is no way anyone could think this was a good idea.

This damn well better be very temporary, there's no way I'm doing a verification code every damn time I log in to COMC (10-15 times a day)

Yes. This isn't good.

For me I’ve been stuck in a loop. Never lets me in on the browser, just endless verification.

Why?

Who is this helping COMC? Are there really that many people being hacked? Who there thought that this was a good idea?

(not so) funny thing... the email I used to register a secondary account for my kids was hacked last weekend and there´s no way to change your email in your profile, as far as I see it. No one cared to log into the comc account but now we won´t be able to either, as I can´t receive the code. About $400 worth or cards in limbo. Just great!

Same here, I thought it was a one time thing, but it seems to be every time. So annoying, it’s almost like they know it’s bad for me to log in and want to make it as hard as possible to use their website. Maybe I can put comc software on my fridge, lol.

I am sorry to hear that this happened to you and there is do doubt that you are not the only that this happened to.

I do not see COMC being the type of site where 2fa is often necessary, but if COMC feels like that, there should have at least been a warning or an offer to change our email instead of being sprung on us out of where.

I was hoping that this at least meant only needing to log in once a day, that would make it tolerable, but nope, still pretty much every time you get off the page.

It's like someone there took a community college course on online security, imagined themselves to be more qualified than they are and went Barney Fife on everyone by implementing this. This is much worse than the recaptchas.

i cant even get the code because i dont remember the e-mail i used when i created my account 14 years ago lol

If 2fa you would think they they would let you sign in permanently. If it's 2fa every time that would be terrible.

lol that email i havent used since i logged into comc for the first time, cant figure out the password to it and since its been so long there is no option to try and recover it

I ran into this issue about a year ago with the email tied to my account being long gone and if you email them and explain the issue, they should be able to tie your account to your current email on the backend.
