As mentioned above, a 2021 Topps series 2 hobby box vs. Trevor Lawrence box would have gone a long way. The “value” according to the website of the hobby box is less, but I would have preferred it. Yes, keep putting words in our mouths that we want Blowout to take a loss on these. I haven’t heard anyone complaining saying that Blowout should take a loss. I literally said it would have been better to get something that I would have taken a loss on than to get $800 in retail.

One could easily do the math and see a 500% margin on these, easily. They aren't even closing to losing on a single one of these. Let's not sit on the sideline and put words in people's mouth.

Of course they aren't losing real money on these but they are compared to market prices. And that's what we have, a market.

This makes a lot of sense, and I agree that most would have preferred a current Topps product over many of the "higher value" retail boxes.

If you call their website "market", then so be it. Many of these, see Trevor Lawrence, are way way marked up.

Pink Trevor Lawrence boxes don't bring $150 regularly on eBay. That's just for starters on these....

Again, I'm not in the camp that feels like Blowout has done something wrong or terrible. I just wouldn't buy these again.

Sure, I should be able to recoup my funds if I sold all of this, but what I really wanted were some boxes I'd be excited about actually opening (They've gotta have some Topps hobby boxes they're stuck with also). Instead we've become the mules to move along all of the over priced retail BO couldn't even purge during Black Friday, all thanks to this Trojan horse they presented us.

I would expect a retail dump buying a mystery box from a random joe online. But that's on me for assuming we'd get a bit more quality than quantity for $500 from a reputable name like BO. I wasn't expecting $1,000 in value per box, but replacing four of the random ~$50 retail boxes each of mine (and a lot of the others) had with a random $200 hobby box would have gone a long way. Lesson learned...

Going forward, it would be nice if they made two separate Mega Mixes. A retail Mega Mix for like $200, similar to what got pushed onto us this year, made up of a majority of retail stuff with those cheap unknown packs thrown in, and the chase item being hobby boxes. And then a Hobby Mega Mix for $500 with the hobby boxes collecting dust in their warehouse, maybe a few retail items thrown in, and the chase being popular hobby boxes along with the big items pitched to us this year. But hopefully people will actually find them. Just a thought...

How does one figure out the 'On Demand' boxes without opening them? I am guessing on one box with a 2018 date on the back that it is a mini pack from 2018. I also have a 2019 dated box that is sealed. Based on the fact it is clearly lighter than the other box I am guessing 3D box.

The highlights from my two boxes include the above two and 2012-13 Panini Past & Present Hobby, 2020 Bowman Chrome 3 Auto Box, and 5 various boxes that are likely $40-$50 boxes in the real world. The Trevor boxes are basically worthless, just assuming they bought weighed boxes. Both of mine were in snap cases rater than the sliding boxes that came direct from Topps, which I found to be rather suspicious.

2015 Topps Chrome Update - Website says $150, but actual going price is about $75
2019 Topps Holiday - $70
2020-21 Panini Prizm NBA - $65

These are my four items totaling $400-475
