Rachel, you do realize over a third of the Democrats boycotted Trump's inauguration right?
Pretty sure those relationships haven't grown stronger over the last 4 years.

Sure he can. Ask him. He has "total power".

Seriously though, getting shyt done mostly means getting people to agree. If he proposed doing whatever a nonpartisan group of experts said to do, who could disagree?

This is simple. You guys are saying Trump could not have done this. I am saying a good president could've.

Agree to disagree, I guess.

I agree but that's not how politics works. Trump wants total power. As does Biden. Both can't have it.

I wish your dream would work, I do. But it never had a chance.

This is not how you would read Google trend data. Not at all.

Completely incorrect.

It did not. That chance was squished when Trump was elected. He simply is incapable of it.

To be fair, Hillary would've failed too. She is also not capable of it. Where is FDR when we need him?

It's been a very, very long time since we've had a president who could get every member from both parties to agree on something.
And yes, it's been a very, very long time since we've had a good president.

I do believe that posts like yours often come from a good place, but often are misguided as to what they actually show.

It's part of a much deeper dive into things we don't have time for, nor is this the place for it.

There's no denying that it's tough to see the outside from the inside of a rabbit hole, but I do wish you well.

Well to begin with you're correct, I wouldn't have a clue how to read Google trend data.

To be fair I looked that up too because after I sealed up my mail in ballot I found out you can't write in pencil

I'm glad you voted. So many don't fulfill that obligation.
Regardless of who you voted for I hope it gets counted.

That's my view. I don't believe you have the right to complain about the outcome if you didn't vote.

From what I read, the machine won't read it so two independent people will have to verify the vote.

Honestly, the only thing that actually could be close on that ballot is the legalization of marijuana in NJ. I voted no so I hope it goes through cause that will be close. It's expected to pass though.

It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it works out for him.

I'm glad you could take the time to insult me. How very generous of you. I mean, I'm clearly so far beneath you and all.

You apparently think that getting a group of people to agree to a plan means getting every single person to agree. Maybe in your world, that's how it works. Here in adultland, we agree to the process itself. We agree to respect the majority. Yes, every single member agrees to that.

Grab up 50 governors, put em in a room. Tell them the plan is to figure it out via experts everyone agrees upon. Maybe each governor agrees to stick one expert each in the room. Get all 50 governors to agree to the process, not the solution. Remind them that we are all in this together. (This is what Washington does every day in the house and senate.) When our experts deliver a plan, we have already agreed to abide by it because of the process.

Did everyone agree on the ACA? No. Is it enforced everywhere because we all agree to the Constitution? Yes.

Go back to the kiddie table and toss around your insults, sir. You're not ready to step here yet.

You are dismissed.

Your living in lala land just give it up.

You didn't even vote by your own admittance. So as others have said in here if you don't vote then you can't complain. Talk about childish. If you can't even make an educated decision to help yourself and the rest of your country. You are dismissed.

Yes. You proposed that everyone would agree on a group of experts on a new virus.

You'd have to earn the right to dismiss me. You have not.

I think I can complain, about anything I want, any time I want. I'm pretty sure you don't get to decide that either.

There really is no need for you to continue whining and insulting me. It isn't making a dent in anything. But if you find it fun, by all means continue. I'm getting a few chuckles myself. It's kind of like watching a four-year-old learn to ride a bike - pedal pedal fall, pedal pedal fall. Don't you give up, you'll get it.

But you're changing the point.

And even so.. that's what they DID! The models (made by the experts) shaped the response. The actual 'what should we do' response.. not what Trump said/didn't say.
