Yeah, feels a little different doesn't it? I've only posted a few times, have mostly been lurking but Ohtani has been my main PC since I got back into the hobby for the umpteenth time in January. He was my main PC before I sold out of my whole collection last in 2018 (don't get me started). This thread hasn't hopped like this since Ohtanis first regular season pitching outting of his career when all we were talking about was 2017 Megas and 2018 Heritage Actions! That's when I got hooked on him, just couldn't believe what I was seeing. Still can't.

Just found a Negative version of this card in a box that I had priced for a show 6 months ago. Need to adjust that one....

The US1 Update and S2 Rainbow Foils are the most left behind cards in the run-up. They were going for around $30 over a year and a half ago at the depths of the Ohtani market when base was $2. As recently as a month ago there were sales around $50 and it's now settled at an $80 card.

To me it's another sign that baseball collectors still aren't really putting money into Ohtani. He's still 4th in line right now for most(Tatis, Guerrero, Acuna) Traditional collectors like the rainbow foils so they should be going for more if that wasn't the case.

I would’ve really questioned that deal at the time. TCU RD super? I’d have been like “meh” on that card tbh. Not sure the current value but anyone who dug in on this guy’s cards are far smarter than I. Ok, that isn’t saying much as I’m pretty much a hobby mouth breather but kudos folks. He’s absolutely incredible and eclipsing Vlad’s mercurial triple crown threatening breakout.

I’m watching this closely too. I pulled a #700 rainbow foil while trying to land an Acuna bat down. Was mildly disappointed but decided to sub the psa anyway. Card was graded 10 so I held it thankfully. Looks like sales steadily climbed from the start of the season to about $550. Gonna hold a bit longer and hope for a run up to 1k.

The RD Super deal helped me in determining how much I should ask for my TC Pitching Super. Someone brought this video to my attention this morning. Its funny someone in the comment section said that my TC Super sold for cheap-

This player thread is just...nicer? All the others have at least one or a few resident pumpers who take anything said that isn't profusely positive about a player as a personal attack on themselves and get extremely bent out of shape. Apparently none of those Blowout types have big Ohtani stashes
