That said, you're right, I do order 20 and sort them, selecting only the most pristine for my collection and then I do try to price the extras for sale based on their centering/surface/edges/corners. I'm not a professional grader but man some of these cards are just every single one in the pack of twenty is OC

I guess that's the fun in getting PSA 10 living set ...

I love The Living Set. It has been some ride. The reduction to one card a week has been hard, but Ok we soldier on. The Pedro card this week looks fantastic. But it does break one of the original rules (I know we had Henry Aaron).

There is no good reason to be doing a second Pedro when there are so many legends left to get a single card. Yes I know some have to be left in the chamber, but it would be awful if the set ended when we are so close to getting it perfect. Koufax, Reggie, Walter Johnson, Cy Young, Greenberg and the other HOFers should be getting cards first. I am nervous it will be left incomplete...

I agree. This is coming from somebody who always thought retired players who were great on multiple teams should have multiple cards to represent those teams. Not that we're down to 1 card it makes it tougher to see when there are so many players who still need to be included.

Since Hank Aaron they've done Ichiro as a Marlin and Pedro as an Expo. Those two aren't the players/teams I've felt " you know the really need a second card for that". I've always felt it should be in the tiers of Nolan Ryan with the Astros & Angels, Frank Robinson with the Reds, Randy Johnson with the Mariners. Reggie Jackson with the As and Yankees (we haven't had either yet). Guys who are truly remembered as greats for both teams with long tenures and/or iconic moments. Not just great players who happened to play for multiple teams for a couple of years.

I’m thinking about buying my LS cards from another seller. I’m currently paying $6.53 per card. I see the cheapest available option on EBay is $5.25 plus tax I’m guessing so about $5.75. Any other options available?

I buy from spw2214. He's a forum member, so I would send him a PM.

Seconded. I've subscribed with him ever since Topps got rid of bundle pricing. $5.75 per card, no issues.

That seems like ... crazy high?

In retrospect, even though I hate hate hate that we're down to one card, I bet Topps was preparing for NFL card this coming season. I'm guessing they like the idea of having 2-3 cards for MLB/NBA/NFL available to try to get cross-collecting going with greats.

It just feels weird and like half the excitement to get one card a week.

I definitely think it's a high print run. For perspective, this places Sal Stewart in the top 30 rookie print runs in the set (#29).

As for the one card per week, I certainly don't love it, but I do agree Topps is preparing to include the NFL in the Living Set, and cross-collecting is a great way to phrase it. How soon until we get Deion or Bo in an NFL set so they can be displayed alongside their MLB counterparts?

I still don't understand why Topps can't manage 2 cards per week for MLB and NBA like they do with soccer.

Still waiting for card of The Freak, Tim Lincecum. His hair even longer and more wild than Cease this week.

A print of Dylan this week would sell big time.

There should be a separate thread for the now defunct fine art prints.

I'm cool with the weekly kidfan9 protest. Not like Topps will check a defunct fine art prints thread.
