Thanks for the kind words on the Hershiser art! I really enjoyed working on it. Here's a look at the original piece:

Hey Living Set family: Just wanted to let you know I have a new art card going to auction tonight (8pm PST, 11pm EST). This is the first art card I've painted on an official Ohtani LS card. I love how it came out (even though it kinda hurts me to paint over Angel's wonderful artwork). It'll run for 10 days on eBay, starting bid $.99.

I was originally planning to auction the art card below from my X Series Art Cards, but a collector from eBay reached out to me and made me an offer on my next "Ruthtani" card that I couldn't refuse. It was sold on eBay with Buy it Now a couple days ago, if you're curious. I can't say "Thank you" enough for those who have shown support of these 1/1 art cards.

Wouldn’t these make great chase / insert cards so more collectors could enjoy. Topps, you should reach out to Jared. He’s pretty good.

Love the artwork today. Mr. Redlegs mostly visible and the ballpark in the background are fantastic.

How many Reds fans in this thread? You must love getting two rookies in the last three weeks. Glad to see both of them are playing well to start the season, too. Not many things worse in the set than getting a rookie having a down year.

I love that you can see the Power Stacks in the outfield. I don't recall them making it into the background of any living set card before (somebody please correct me if I'm wrong).

I definitely would like to see more iconic features of ballparks featured in the background. Gabe, if you ever get to do a Lance Berkman card I'd love to see the now-destroyed Tal's Hill in the background. It would be a great tribute to a player who is the most unlikely centerfielder making the most unlikely catch!

Hi LS family: I am dropping a fun creation today on eBay. It's another X-Series art card, this time Ohtani x Skywalker. (BIG SHOUT OUT to eldavojohn in this group who hooked me up with the Star Wars cards!!!)

This one was so fun to do. I don't do fantasy art and this is the first time I've done anything semi-Star Wars related, that I'm aware of, after 16+ years in the Hobby. I'm working on a few other MLB x Star Wars crossovers so stay tuned.

Auction begins tonight at 8pm PST.

Love it, but Luke's lightsaber is famously blue, so how about a companion card with Ohtani in a Dodger uniform and a blue saber?

I've got one on the drawing board. Gotta have an Ohtani Dodgers version for sure.

Came here to say something similar - the background of this card is so great and hope to see more great ballpark backdrops in the future!

Question for those of you who have sold Living Set cards before. I've got a complete 1-100 run. The first 9, plus Ichiro and Acuna, are graded, but the rest are still in their original packaging. Is there any premium on them being unopened?
Thanks in advance.

Personally, I think there would be a premium on unopened TLS cards in their original packaging. Exactly, how much depends on who is interested. There are collectors who only collect PSA 10s of this set (I’m one of them). The fact that your cards are unopened means that they were not pre-sorted and cherry picked as potential PSA 10 candidates.

However, as a rule the first 100 cards have higher print runs and it’s much easier to get a PSA 10 version off eBay at a reasonable price. There are some exceptions in the first 100 but not too many.

The real challenge comes with the later cards in lower prints runs. Less were issued, less were graded, and as a result fewer 10s. This set starts to get harder once you start to hit the 400s and up. If you look at the ebay listings most TLS cards graded and ungraded are from the first 100 to 200.

I’m not aware of any unopened TLS collectors but I’m sure they are probably out there.

If anyone out there has a bulk of David Price unopened I’d be interested. I’ve been searching for his PSA 10 for while now.
