The play before the INT - the defensive player hit the receiver with his helmet simultaneous with the ball arrival. The helmet/helmet contact came first… so he had to be leading with the helmet and hit the head/neck area.

What exactly is targeting?

Has to lead with the crown of the helmet or the receiver has to be defenseless. Wasn’t either.

I could be wrong, but it seemed like the receiver was still in the air at first contact. That would be defenseless.

As far as the crown of the helmet, I thought that it was any forcible contact to the head/neck area.

That’s why I asked - I could be wrong.

I know it sucked he got knocked out but I immediately said targeting. 1st and goal from the half yard line

I can also understand the shoulder first

LOL, that was not a huge upset. I called an Aggy loss as soon as I saw they didn't draw a gimmie G5 team. Miami tried to give that game away and Aggy still couldn't take it.
