I am still curious if anyone has guidance here. How do you switch shipping services in the middle of an offer? Do I just need to set my service to "Standard Shipping" and put in my description that over $20 goes in a BMWT and $20 or under goes in ESE?

I usually just tell the person I will reprice the item and change the shipping style... but act quickly since that updated price is open to all.

I don't think you can change the shipping with an active offer. If I accept the offer and it's something I can send ESU I do that and refund the difference

You can always end the item and sell similar with updated shipping options.

Thanks guys. I am leery of the process because the buyer may be expecting bubble mailer and not open to ESE. The original comment sounded like he did it automatically without consulting the buyer.

For those of you with an eBay store, you have a 3 weeks to use your coupon for supplies before the 4th quarter ends. I know some don't use it, but for those who do, this is your reminder.

This is what I do.

I think if the shipping charge is around $1 they are expecting ESE. Regardless, I wouldn't worry about it. You'll get some buyers that are nits and some ESE won't get there, but by and large you'll be putting it in the mail and that will be the end of it.

I’m currently paying the 2.0% rate, but with eBay’s change effective January 13, I want to set it to 0%. How do I change the rate to 0%? Do I adjust the existing campaign, or do I need to end it and create a new one?

If you are talking about promoted listings. You need to cancel it if you are wanting to opt out.

I am pretty easy going and not difficult to work with at all, but if you cancel an order without so much as sending an email as to why, you are getting a negative.

I'm trying to message a guy I've sold to several times, but not lately. I know how to go through their user page and use the "Contact" link and select "this is not about an item". It takes me our previous conversation where I was able to contact him before, but now the message won't send. He's always been eager to buy these specific cards so I don't think he blocked me. Anyone else know a trick?

Does the user have any items for sale? Can you try contacting them through one of their items?

Maybe try to enter an old item ID # from something they purchased in the past?

If you were using your phone, perhaps try your laptop. Or vice versa.

Sometimes when I try sending an image using the eBay messenger on my phone, it won't upload/send. But then it'll work when I use eBay on my laptop. Not sure if that's the same issue you're having, but worth a shot to check.

Thanks guys, these didn't work either. I messaged eBay via Facebook to see if they have any ideas.

eBay confirmed that messaging won't work 90+ days after a transaction because buyers were complaining about sellers reaching out months after the fact.

So now it's like why even have the "this is not about an item" option? Maybe I'm stuck in a very unique scenario due to the transaction history and it works the first time you contact someone.

I took the survey and said I'd be forced to find a way to sell to this person off eBay. (The scenario here is I accumulate cards of a certain player and then sell the batch to him.)

I click on your ebay profile, there's a option to contact you.

Are you saying this doesn't work?

In this case it doesn't - maybe because it linked a transaction to that conversation, or maybe dude really did block me.

PM me the link to the person and I will see if I can contact him. Are they still a registered user?

ESE delivered on Dec 15th at 10 am. Buyer reaches out today, Dec 19th around noon complaining about condition...about 20 minutes after the player gets traded. I can tell them to pound sand, correct?

All he’s gonna do is return it for item not described.

Sounds like it's outside the window for a trading cards INAD claim.
