My very first T206 just arrived!

Always wanted one and just never pulled the trigger... until now.

One of my favorite old non-sports issues. This is the first Melorol Poe graded by SGC. PSA has graded one a 4.

Here are a few of my favorite recent grabs.

Got the 52 Topps Cookie Lavagetto recently, just a dynamite version of a great card to accompany the 39 Play Ball. I must be the only guy with both of these cards in a PSA 4.5 lol.

Here's an example of buy the grade not the card. Usually I don't do this, but this 75 mini Bando is so tough to find in 8+ and I got it for a steal in a FB auction as part of a bigger lot of high grade minis. I suspect this card would grade a 6 if it was cracked and resubmitted. Like most 75 mini Bandos it is very close to miscut in the back on the right margin. But I don't care really I have been looking for one of these for 3 years and the last one that came up on ebay sold for $225 or something insane like that.

And who says junk wax can't be great? I have built up my Mike Greenwell collection, as he passed away a few months ago a bit before his time. He was a total gamer. The 1990 Tiffany is a great looking card IMO, and that Stadium Club card is sweet. I wonder if he actually caught that ball though.

1941 Play Ball #25 Gene Moore

1941 Play Balls are amazing! 2026 will be a rule that we can't talk about the condition of cards.

I spent stupid money on a card yesterday. It is a 1.5, horrible centering, but a playing days card of a GOAT. If the card was centered, I would be paying the price of a car for the piece of cardboard. I have buying a lot, should be posting on here more. Maybe time to start a 2026 goals thread.

I didn't make it to the Chicago Sports Spectacular this fall but winning this on ebay a few days afterwards helped me get over it.

I'll re-post this here from my SGC thread post. I'm normally not a hockey guy, but my dad created a few sports logos over his time, (Oakland Invaders USFL, Raiders program artwork, etc.) and he created this alternate art/logo used by the Seals hockey team in the 1970s. It was on pennants, stickers, programs, etc.

My dad said he had one night to come up with a sketch they could use for team artwork when Charlie Finley asked for it, and they didn't really have a team setup yet, but they gave him some photos of certain players they had, and one of them was Carol Vadnais. So he based that sketch off of Carol Vadnais.

So here's my latest pickup which should arrive in a few days, a vintage card I just graded with SGC:

Very nice Campanella! I’ve been trying to find one to add to my PC.
I’m looking for his

1956 Topps #101 Roy Campanella

Here is the only one I have of his (I can’t remember if I had already posted a pic of this one or not)

I found a 1970 OPC card of Gary Neibauer to go with my Topps #384 and signed index card.

Neibauer is 81 years old now.

I really enjoy the nice legible signatures of the older former players.

1967 Topps #40 Rick Reichardt - signed, unsigned and miscut
Also 1967 Topps Venezuela #202

The miscut was actually a press error where the sheet didn't pull to the side guide on the front pass.
The back is fine.

Picked up all four in the past week.
There is also an OPC Canada variation but didn't want to pay that much for it.
