Just curious if you have any boxes are you selling while it’s hot? I have 8 mega boxes, I’ll be honest I just got sick of opening them lol. I occasionally hold product but this wasn’t intentional. They’re selling for like 200 a box right now with all the Yamamoto hype. My gut tells me Topps wouldn’t put that insert in a mega box but who knows. I’m probably just going to sell before the redemption is found and things go back to normal. Just curious if you have any are you selling, opening or holding?

Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered. Here is the question you have to answer. What else can/will happen for these to trend much higher? Additionally, what happens if Yamamoto is pulled next week? At best, you will see a tiny rise over the course of time from this point forward. At worst, the Yamamoto and Merrill are pulled Monday and everyone dumps what they were holding crashing the sealed prices of the product below what they were when the run started. Holding hobby sealed cases versus holding some loose retail boxes is not the same. To give you an idea of how stale the market was for these, they were constantly on sale over the last 6 months and the price kept going down because no one was buying. There was also no demand by shops or breakers. It was a stale product. Hope this helps.

It was a stale product until certain breakers started pumping it again this week.

Coincidence. Breakers have no sway.

I think someone still sticks to that narrative. He doesn’t seem to post much anymore.

I’d absolutely sell. Maybe hold 1 or 2 or fun. My only regret is that I sold my last few last weekend for $135. I’ve had a bunch on eBay for like the past 10 months or so. Didn’t expect them to moon in the off season.

This makes a lot of sense, I was leaning towards selling but the thought that there’s a chance I have it kills me lol. I wouldn’t want to know. I can’t complain about tripling my money, that rarely happens.

Yep. This particular product was a chain reaction.

-Dodgers win WS
-Yamamoto goes off
-Topps posts his card can still be pulled
-People start asking their breakers for it
-Breakers buy everything that was available on the market
-Prices explode

May be some buyer's remorse already factoring into eBay pricing lol, some Jumbos being listed for $500 or less.

Shows live but is sold out when you try to check out (unless you get very lucky).

Tough to sell on the secondary market when the product is still available directly from Topps.

Unless jumbos are absolute bloodbaths, which they very well may be, the price on the secondary market won't reflect until people start opening them.

If they're awful, they'll drop, probably even below the $400 price from Topps. If they're actually decent? They could shoot up very quickly. I bought two with the intention of selling them. Hopefully I can make a quick profit.

Yes. I feel like Chrome Update is a great long-term hold (unless the holders get super unlucky and all of the best patches get pulled).
