My question is, Victor Scott II was in Topps Chrome. He now shows as having two base cards in Update? I was expecting a debut card...any ideas on why he would have another? Did they forget he was in the regular series?

They have done this before. Acuna etc had base cards in the regular Chrome release in 2018 and had a rookie card and debut card in 2018 Chrome Update.

I know the RPA chase is the highlight of this product, but the fact that all the other autos are stickers REALLY takes basically all the fun out of Chrome Update for me.

price seems ok just have to go into it knowing you aren't likely to pull a $5000 + card or a RDPA. That said given past QC issues with Chrome Update it's advisable to wait and let someone else be the guinea pig before buying.

Topps Chrome Update died when it was no longer a Target exclusive issued only via Mega Box or cello pack.

It's not great, but it's also not new.

2023 had 167 base autos. 2022 had 140 base autos.
