I used to buy basketball cards between 1997-2004 and just picked up a few boxes as I picked the hobby back up in the 23/24 season. I have been following these forums since then to avoid common pitfalls and have found what everyone posts here very helpful. I used to buy Topps Chrome so when I heard Topps was getting the license back, I told myself I would buy a few boxes.

Thanks to people posting on this thread, I was able to do that noon pre order on Topps website, I got 2 jumbo boxes, a hobby box and a small box. I opened them with my wife and had a blast. I forgot that when you got decent cards of players you would start rooting for them more. I only had 1 card that was a bit damaged (the Larry Bird). I was also happy that at least one of the Autographs was on the card!

The Fanatics blasters have way better odds than regular blasters.

Truthfully, it's more like a 3 per order limit (obviously, if you do way too many orders, you'll probably flag your account).

Anybody with experience know how many orders I'm safely allowed before hitting an account flag or the like? I've stopped at 3 orders for now...but that's only because it clearly stated one order per household so I figured even 3 orders was already pushing my luck

I did 4 orders of 3 boxes and stopped. Not because I thought it'd get flagged but because I'm not going too heavy on a beefed up retail SKU. Ya, they're better than normal blasters but still not great overall

I may regret not ordering more....but I doubt it

Sitting on these for about a month is the play now, everyone is just going to lowball all of the people getting their boxes from Fanatics reps and Topps orders. I’m not in the camp that jumbos are going to $1k, but I think they’ll be fine after the supply surge causes a little dip.

The dealer buys are at $150.

You can find hobby boxes for around $185 now.
