I’ve been slowly picking up Rainbow Foils. Missing 2020 and the 2018s. With the recent jump, I’ll let 2018 wait a while longer. It’s a fun side project that’s relatively inexpensive.

In my opinion, Rainbow Foils are the best looking parallel. Catch a Rainbow Foil at the right angle and the card almost looks 3D.

This is really painful for me to see, who sold the PSA 10 of same card like 4 years ago for just little over $4k...
Luckily, I still have the Independence Day PSA 10 which I won't part with for a long time.
Not sure what the value of it is now, but I guess possibly over $30k or even $50k, though I'm obviously biased as the owner of the card myself.

Believe this was actually the first pack pull Ohtani card that people could have gotten as well, since Heritage was released in February 2018 (in March there was Gypsy Queen, Opening Day, Tribute etc).

Who gets to define what a rookie card is? And what is the definition in your mind.

Because today it seems any card by topps with a RC sheild or comes out in the players RC card year is a rookie card. Cards made before the player appears in a MLB game is a prospect card.

Topps puts the RC Logo on inserts. Inserts are not and have never been "RCs"

Hell, Topps put the RC Logo on Ohtanis 2019 Insert commemorating the 1984 Topps set.

Topps finding the loophole to continue to put the very thing they agreed to stop doing (MILBers in MLB Releases) in 2006 is part of the reason we are where we are today with this
