It’s gunna get crazy in April, when 25/26 football releases blitz out of the gate as baseball is full steam and basketball is also full blast. Only to see it get even crazier when 26/27 football releases in August.

It's already crazy.....we're in the baseball postseason, and Topps/Fanatics has only released about 10 products this year so far, half of which are clones of flagship.

What's your point? That we should simply accept that releasing products late is perfectly fine?
But my answer to your question is yes.....once the calendar rolls into 2026, my interest in 2025 products is going to decrease significantly......heck....my interest in 2025 baseball products is already decreasing as we move into football/basketball/hockey season. |

Can Topps release 2025 rookie logo cards in 2027? 2028? |

I 100% love products coming out later. Give new players a chance to be in all the products. I hate when a PC guy I collect misses half the releases for the year because the products came out before he could get on checklists. Plus I spend money year round, not just when games are being played. So why wouldn't I want new products coming out every month.

As long as they stay in sequence it’s not that big of a deal. If they release 2025 Bowman’s Best in February of 2026, and then release 2026 Bowman’s Best in December of 2026… you’re saying that you would want both treated as 2026 releases in regards to checklist and RC logo designation?

What if 2025 bowman’s best was released in December 2026, and 2026 bowman’s best was released in December 2027? A full next baseball season would have passed by then, even though the products were released in sequence. 2022-23 the cup hockey was released two years later I believe, a whole season and a summer (September 2024) after it should have been released! Crazy. Last edited by hermanotarjeta; 10-06-2025 at 03:02 PM. |

It seems as though for the vast majority of players, their cards are valued highest when the price is based on nothing but potential. Wouldn't it make it more difficult to invest in cards the further out from their debut that rookie cards are released?

Take Jackson Holliday as an example. I would think it would have a negative effect on the price of wax or break spots if his RC's were just now being released. I would think you'd like that.

The quicker they get the RC's out just facilitates the gambling aspect.
