Very good move to not cancel if you’re going for the rainbow. Green PMG /10s are generally something you don’t just wait for another one. Anything /25…purple crystal VCs or orange lava…sure, can wait for another. But I wouldn’t trust it for anything /10 or less.

I’m starting to feel the same way about the purple crystal vc. I have seen almost as many green pmg as I have the purple vc. I’m starting to think that will be the hardest one to find now.

I can relate!

Ghost town out there right now for the purple vc’s. There are many- including Black Cat, Black Panther, Jean Grey, and several others I haven’t seen one copy to date. Being /25 not sure how that’s even possible.

I blame it currently on blaster box ripping has come to a screeching halt. We need more of them opened to start seeing more purple vc’s. I still think in the long run, being /25, you should be able to wait one out for the next one to pop up. But right night now…they’re not easy.

I thought about going for the Lizard rainbow since I really like the art, but decided to do Dormammu since we kept running across the cards.

I dont want to do both sets at the same time, but a Lizard pmg green just popped up and it looks really nice with the green background…………….. decisions decisions……………….

Man I wish some of these eBay purchases didn’t have to go to the authenticator.

If I buy an autograph that is already slabbed and authenticated then what’s the purpose for eBay to do it themselves? I just bought another card like this, and will be waiting 2-3 weeks for it to get to me.

I think they need to have an option where it removes authentication service when an authenticator with # is entered into the details.

I agree it’s so unnecessary for cards like graded 92 platinum cards. Their reasoning is because they need to check if the slab itself is legit and not tampered with.

But right now they’re in a huge backlog or something because there are reports in the eBay forum of them taking up to 3 weeks to authenticate cards at the California hub. This is way longer than it used to be. I currently have one I bought that was sent there and delivered 5 days ago…nothing at all since. It’ll probably be week(s) before it’s authenticated. Totally unnecessary also, it’s a graded red PMG from this set.

Nope, no reason at all. It’ll get to you, but expect an extra 2 weeks at this point if not more. Cool auto!

Hmmm…I think this is more a case just the sig wasn’t good for that one.

PMGs are foil surface which should take on an sig better than a chrome card like most of the rest of 92 Platinum….youd think at least. Chrome is a glass-like slippery surface that causes autos to streak.

The sole PMG I sent in, posted above, got an auto 10 grade, and auto looks fine.

Wow! That is substantially different. I wonder if there was a smudge on that shadowcat, and the marker ran through it? That storm looks really nice!

On another note…a Lizard purple vc just popped up in eBay. A whopping $695 lol. I just hope when a Dormammu surfaces it will be more reasonably priced.

Yep maybe something with the foil surface or even the marker itself- does look like the marker between that and my Storm is a different thickness. Or could be that it was just running out, or normal variance, not sure.

I will say, after submitting 20+ cards to get autod, they definitely varied. Some came back perfect 10 autos, others visibly streaked.

Yes that’s right they’ll essentially be /24

I have a decent chunk I’m still looking for…just being not-so patient as they roll in. I would say give it time for the purple vc’s and they should come back to reality, once the 1-3 nuts set attempters are out of the picture. I do have the Dormammu so I’m not in the market for him.

Realistically Dormammu purple vc should be a $200 card. Based on recent comps that exist, someone might try to ask $500 for it, but I would wait that out unless desperate.

I agree, but I have a feeling once one surfaces I will get too anxious since there is no telling when another will come along. Although I’m still kind of shocked I was able to get the green pmg, so there is not telling.

With the purple vc...my gut tells me alot of these get lost in the shuffle. Collectors not realizing what they pulled. Casual collectors. I almost made that mistake once. Like others have said completion collectors have pumped up prices. Guilty there, needed my X-Men (Rogue/Jean where are you!) Dave and Adams need to lower those prices! Wonder how many are left?

Good point…could be easy for a casual buyer of retail to miss the small /25 stamp on back of them and not know what they have.

There’s gotta be a ton of this product still unopened though for us not to see so many characters not have even one pop up out of 25 after all this time. (Jean and Rogue mentioned…but also Black Panther, Cat, Elektra, Cage, Namorita, Sinister I’m looking at you..)

Wonder what the “evidence” is of the other 24 being sold? Not gonna hold my breath! In reality, I think I saw one iron man sell over the year (for less than $200, it was early, could have even been this one, dunno). Needless to say the other 24 haven’t been sold, in fact it’s almost statistically impossible all 25 purple vc’s of any one character were even pulled at this point, considering the percentage of the retail print run still sealed.

(and even if the other 24 were sold, which they weren't...it wouldnt mean they're unavailable...there's this thing called flipping people do )
