When I get one postage due I go to the PO, snap a photo, and contact the seller before I pay. I would never pay for postage due without assurance from the seller that I'll be refunded.

my guy comes to my door with them and I just happen to be home each time. So I have to basically make the decision right away. An extra almost $7 is not worth it in my situation when I can't ask the seller and expect an answer in 25 seconds. I do get pics of the mailing and the postage due slip each time

New message from: mikethe1xx (164TURQUOISE_STAR Star)

Hello, I ordered 1 from you. I was wondering if you had 1 which is near mint or better which I could exchange? The 1 I received has 2 bent corners?

On a $1.65 card , buyer sent a picture also which blowing it up shows nothing. Sending refund and blocking . 6 FB in last year and none left.

Some NN shipped me a one touch in a rigid mailer at the 3 ounce rate the other day. Arrived just fine, no postage due. Absolutely zero consistency in the enforcement of ESE.

Well I'm glad it isn't just me who is having a high percentage of ESE orders getting zero scans.

In the past week, I've had one item that showed an initial scan. Other than that, none of my items have shown anything but the tracking number being provided. I know that cards have reached their destination because I've gotten feedback for them. Something is definitely going on with USPS scanning.

I just do not even bother to look unless a buyer says something or it is a $100 plus item that went Ground Adv/Priority.

I am like this, with the exception of I don't pay any attention even to the high dollar items. It's simply not worth worrying about since there is nothing you can do. Take that time and focus and put it toward something productive.

Yup....this^^^is me. Life if too short to worry about things you have no control over. Buyers will let you know if there is a problem with your shipment.....no contact from buyers=no problem.

Another one to add to the block list: jzac_86

Sends me an offer on a card which I accept. I ship out the card next day.

He messages me saying he never bought the card and will return it when he gets it.

Then the day the card gets delivered he claims the card was damaged and asks for a refund.

Good riddance.

What would you guys do with this? I got a package Postage due, but no listed amount and it was left in my mailbox.

Ignore?
Take to post office and inquire?

I would ignore, but what does the full message say? I get the "Postage Due", but what else does it say? Was it a single card or multiple cards in the envelope....regular cards or thick.....top loader or card saver.....is that a #10 type PWE?

Postage Due, Not Letter
Single Card, but IDK if shipped in a Mag/Screwdown or the included other cards its like 1/2 inch thick. Havent opened incase consensus was return or pay difference.

Single Prizm football rookie
And yes #10 envelope

I would still ignore, but if the envelope is that thick, the PO is correct. While some do get away with it, an ESE envelope is not supposed to be over 1/4 inch thick. I believe that earlier in this thread it was reported that a PSA slab was sent ESE and was delivered without issue. The postage due will be in the $3+ range because they are correctly telling you that it is a parcel/package, not a letter.....but if they can't be bothered to tell you how much is due, that is on them and they have likely already forgotten about it.

I saw a message from eBay this evening about the postage rate hike for the holiday season. Starts earlier than I remember on October 5th.

You can see the rates listed for most services, but I do not see one for ESE. Are we safe?

3 more refunds this week, one was the prior postage due which I declined, another was one where the pwe was not sealed, and you can tell right away the card fell out as soon as dropped off, the PB stamp was on the open flap and another not mailed but "lost" by house cleaners a few hours after I paid. Also have another non ESE I paid on Aug 27th, label printed on the 9th, and still waiting for it to be dropped off. The hazards and injuries from selling and mailing sports card has been increasing lately

Finally, one of those thick 130-point size Fleer Ultra Marvel cards was returned to me with postage due.

I ended up paying the $4+ for ground advantage and reshipped it to the buyer.

All it takes is one for me to remove all these thick cards and sell them as a lot, so I can use a bubble mailer or a box moving forward.

Had 3 buyers recently all open INR cases for ESE envelopes that had been mailed less than 10 days prior. One was just a week. Crazy that eBay allows this. All 3 immediately joined my block list.

I've had 3 ESE "items not received" refund requests in the last two days. I think I've had 2 previous (out of 100s) since ESE was introduced. Two of the trackings showed delivered although one went from NC (where I am) to Texas then to PA. The third just quit updating. Not sure what is going on. eBay told me to just update the tracking and they would issue refunds and credit me in 3 days. We'll see.

You need to file PIP requests. eBay isn’t going to refund those for you directly.

As a buyer, I've had several low feedback sellers ask me to mark ese items as received well after I left feedback.

Is there a spot to do this in the app or are they just confused? I know ebay holds funds longer for low feedback sellers. (I always hit the "received on time" option when leaving feedback, and that's the only relevant option I've ever seen).
