There's also 10 or 12 more autos on that 2024 checklist.

Kurtz and Wood already have shown significantly more impressive power bats than anyone in 2024. There's enough guys like C. Smith, Rice, Wilson, Schwellenbach, Campbell to fill up that third tier of folks occupied by Evan Carter from the past year. Maybe Crews bounces back... and I still have a shot at the Ohtani auto.

PCA is a big omission. Even 8-10 “decent” players is a significant draft class. I’d 2023 was weak. 2022 is basically Witt (I suppose Raleigh). 2021 is abysmal. 2020 is kind of trash. 2019 is good.

That's such an odd way of thinking to me. Everyone is entitled to do their own thing, but I have never said "nah" when someone offers me free money on a silver platter. Take it, then buy you something to open as a "collector" for free. Why would anyone not want to do that? All it takes is about 10 minutes of work for what should be $100 or more as a reward. To each their own I guess.

I'm not too worried about losing money if I buy and resell, but what stinks about the price is that this would be fun to rip if they had it priced at $250 or so. The real risk of me buying a box ultimately is me talking myself into ripping it.

And actually, Skenes didn't have autos or base cards in this product and half the guys you mentioned also didn't have base cards. And it STILL reached 1K/box on secondary market.

The rest were in Update Sapphire. Different product.

I see no reason 2025 doesn't eventually get to 1K. People are going to flip on eBay now to make their $80 or whatever but just hold a little bit past release date and this is going to be solid.

Bought my 1, will not be ripping. Sapphire / Sapphire Update are the only reason I got the MC membership and so kinda have to or what was the point? Will likely rip Update though when the time comes.

I agree with all of this.

Instead I overpaid on Bob Ross and plan on ripping (and will likely come out ok) and overpaid for a box of Sapphire and plan on ripping (and will likely get toasted).
