This is totally disrespectful to trans women

No...Schtick as in constantly bringing up the Pacers when irrelevant to the thread/subject of the thread...

You've brought up the Pacers twice now in just the past 3 pages...wtf do they have to do with Caitlin Clark or the WNBA for that matter

Again...get help...it's not a good look

She's 6-42 on threes. Fourteen percent over last six games. There are very few high school kids who put up stats that bad. It's almost unheard of for pro players.

That doesn't help any team she's on if she shoots more right now. Imagine if she were 12-84, lol.

She's clearly not healthy, probably in a mental funk too. I doubt she'll shoot more or play more for the rest of this season, and then they can re-eval. We'll see.

I get that the league and fans want CC playing, but they win fine without her at all. Indiana absolutely plays much stronger defense without her, and offense is same/better with her out also due to her funk and being not herself. Ergo, It makes sense to "manage the injury" and also limit her poor play. It'll likely improve in time.

Pacers' organization is pretty intertwined with Fever TBH. Players from both always attend each others' games. There is a lot of shared infrastructure at Gainbridge, though the coaching personnel are distinct. I bet some physical therapists work with both teams and maybe they even share some weight rooms and courts. Not sure about the marketing sides and travel planning, charters. Probably cheaper if these revolve year round between the teams, depending on the b-ball schedule. I'm sure Indiana fans think of the squads in the same thought bubble. Probably they don't share legos, now that Myles is gone.

I mean, if I care about looks.

she has played three games since returning from injury - so your 6-42 thing doesn't really hold up

the talent is there - no need to micro analyze her every move - lets give her a solid month of playing without breaks and then draw some conclusions - anything less is just a small sample size that isn't worth overanalyzing

When I said she needs to shoot more I wasn't referring to 3's, I actually think the amount of 3's she takes is about right and that will normalize soon enough. She was 2/7 tonight, which is an improvement.
She needs to take more 2's, drive to the net more and maybe take a couple more mid range per game. I saw her pass up a couple of layup and mid range opportunities in favour of a pass.
On the plus side, the refs actually called a few fouls for people having 2 hands on her, not as many as they should, but it was a good sign. CC actually had 4 free throws which is a step up from the 0 and 2 from the last 2 games.

Shooters have to shoot through struggles. At least that's how modern NBA execs approach things. Trust in IBM Watson.

Bigger concern is whether or not these lower body injuries will continue. Hopefully this is just a one time fluky occurrence.

When I watched a couple of games, all of her threes were off the dribble. Many contested. She hit one today as a catch and shoot. Coach needs to create some plays like that so she can get a rhythm. Her playmaker is top notch.

Tangentially CC related, but I saw an email from one of the big 3rd party retailers, and they were offering $12,000 for sealed Rookie Royalty boxes. I mean lol wtf.
Whoever got in on those boxes at ~$4k has/had an easy 200% flip for profit.

I got the email over the weekend, so maybe they got the boxes they wanted and are no longer buying, but a retailer that rhymes with Shaves + Madames.

Buffalo was, it’s down now. I think Pittsburgh got up to 11.5k. I don’t know what our hosts were paying.

The game tonight is against the Sun at the Boston Garden and it looks like it might as well be a home game with all the Fever (Clark) fans.
This shot is from 2 1/2 hours before game time outside the Boston Garden...

why would they do a game at the TD Garden against the worst team in the league

should've been chicago or dallas ( bueckers) imo

It doesn't really matter which team it is, they all move to bigger stadiums against the Fever. I'm watching the game and it looks like a total sell out.

CC already 2 points and 4 assists in 5 minutes, but already back on the bench (still limited minutes I guess)

I'm going to disagree with you there

I think it does matter for the WNBA

I think they are maybe being too cautious with CC.

CC was cooking for 5 minutes before being benched, she laft with the Fever up 7, the Sun went on a 7-0 run. CC came back in with a minute left in the quarter with the Fever up by 1 and that's where the quarter ended at 29-28.
CC with 2 points, 4 assists and 1 rebound in 6 minutes on the floor.
Kind of a weird offence, Boston had 0 shots and I think CC only took 2.

2nd quarter almost a carbon copy of the 1st, CC played 6 minutes then went to the bench up 39-33, 90 seconds later Fever were down 39-40. CC checks back in with 41 seconds left with the score 41-42 and at the Half it's 44-42 (Sophie 3!).
I think CC is the only Fever player with a positive +/- at +11.
