You didn't see Freeman smiling as the broadcasters said he was trying to get Indiana to waste a cheap timeout? It was a gamble if they didn't call TO, but that appeared to be the play.

We'll never know. But I would have been fine with Indiana starting at the 4 yard line. They clearly couldn't move the ball regardless. Ball back to ND.

Going to look bad if SMU and Clemson get handled easily. I think Tennessse will put up a fight. Committee will have to give strength of schedule more weight. Which translates to more SEC teams.

4 wasn't the answer either though. I could see Texas, OSU, Tennessee, or ND getting to the championship out of the 5-12 group. Plus a lot of b*tching about AZ State and Boise State. I'm fine letting them play it out.

6 or 8 is enough. Makes the big regular season games matter. Makes conference championship games a play in a lot of the time. 2 losses and you are out (unless in special circumstance like a 11-1 Indiana vs 10-2 Georgia)

7 teams max. The one bye makes every game important for the top teams. A limited field makes every game important for everyone else.

The gap between the top few teams and the bottom few teams making the playoffs is an absolute joke. It’s as bad as the top of the NBA conference and the play-in teams.

I think they still get in as a final four team. PSU and OSU have one more loss. PSU didn't really have great win. Doesn't really matter though.

Indiana sucks. They played one meaningful game all year and got crushed.

Notre Dame also sucks. 1 win against a team ranked in the final top 25.

This game has been slop. Played by two teams who stand zero chance of winning it all.

Look it up. Not a promo. You can bet hypothetical lines on FanDuel with a refund if the game doesn't take place. It was -1.5 and pulled before this game kicked off.
