Thanks guys! It's awesome to see there are still great cards to be pulled after nearly 30 years.

I do have a question: I'm not a very big baseball or Bonds collector, so holding onto the card is not of great significance to me. Do you think I should sell now, or is there still a chance that Bonds can make the HOF in 2025 from the Contemporary Player Committee? Is it basically a near-zero chance at this point and they'll never recognize his achievements?

This is just my opinion, but the people who are buying Bonds 96 Mirror Reds are not likely going to be affected by his HOF candidacy. And the people who would be affected by him getting in the HOF are likely not diving into a card like this.

lol i actually had the same exact thoughts. I think it's a sound assessment - but I'm not really knowledgeable of his market value or trends by any means. Thanks for your input

No problem. Good luck on the grade. I hope it gets a 10. There are 13 PSA 9s and only 3 PSA 10s. A 10 would be huge.

hello new here so happy to find a community with other Barry Bonds collectors

I've been accumulating Bonds cards, especially rookies for a while now. They aren't very flashy like some of the late 90s and 2000s inserts but still nostalgic.

I especially like the 1987 LEAF Canadian set. They are very similar design to 1987 DONRUSS but with much lower population. I think of 1987 LEAF: DONRUSS sort of like O-PEE-CHEE:TOPPS.

I’m thinking of picking up a Bonds 1987 O Pee Chee rookie in a PSA 9. Thoughts on the card from Bonds collectors?

They made Tiffany versions of the Topps Traded sets? Is there an '83 Strawberry one? How do I not remember these things, this was my prime collecting years.

I had to have the 86 Topps Traded Tiffany. That’s THE Bonds card for me.

Yep! they made Tiffany Sets from 1984 to 1991 so they just missed the Strawberry

Someone is unloading a very nice stash of Bonds this week on Fan. I am still in the middle of bidding through, but I wanted to share in case someone is chasing late 1990s Bonds.

If you wanted Bonds autos, you should seen this dealer at the National. 2 full showcases, some stacked 2 deep with nothing but Bonds autos.

Ignore my deal on top, but check out what’s underneath.

It's amazing how much things have changed over the past decade. One of my first purchases here was an almost complete set (minus Griffey Jr. & Frank Thomas) for just over twice the price of Bonds alone.

Seller was offering the complete set but tested the waters and sold the two on ebay, then helped me find their replacements at around $100 each. Thomas was the gold version #50 and not quite the exact match but it's not too noticeable when displayed with all the others.
