Default The Barry Bonds Collectors Thread

I don't know if there are many Bonds collectors here but I thought we could share some of the cards in our collection. Here's one of my favorites...

That is a sweet looking card. Not a fan of bonds but a fan of that card

I really appreciate that you dropped in to say that. It's hard to know sometimes how a card hits the eye of someone who's not also a fan of the player.

Thank you, that's excellent! It looks like you're only missing the red 1/1 from your rainbow.

Default The Barry Bonds Collectors Thread

Opened 2017 Finest and was thrilled to see a superfractor peeking out of the stack.

Took it to 2018 National and thought about PSAing it since the corners looked good and the surface immaculate. Got lucky in both the pull and the grade. Just a bad pic for on here, though you get the idea.

The 87 Leaf is getting completely out of hand. I guess the secret is out that Leaf had a much smaller print run.

Hopefully if you're a Bonds collector, you know the KING of Bonds collecting.

For my favorite Bonds, I present a more obscure example:

Anything from before Hulk-up time is legit.

Just one non-TPG'd NM-MT 86TT (non-Tiffany) here. $8 or something, or is that 2-year-ago prices?

Pull of a lifetime, incredible. Would love to see a clearer pick sometime. Did you hang onto it? I was at that National by the way, and I'm bummed that the spacious, grand Cleveland site isn't a thing anymore. I know I'm in the minority.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised someone with such eclectic taste and interests would have a Bonds this legit in the PC.

Took long enough, right? That's gotta be one of the last ones to reach the public consciousness. I should've gotten mine when I had the chance.

Absolutely, the community is pretty tiny and I'm lucky to consider the man a friend.

Great choice and it reminds me of the 1999 Stadium Club AU which is also very tough.

Excellent, I'm just now venturing into oddballs. I have a short list I have my eye on. Is this one of your faves?

Great thread! Nice seeing a few Barry Lamar collectors here. I've been collecting Bonds on and off for the last 15 years so I've accumulated some stuff.

This is hands down my favorite certified autograph card.

Well, I did make a good deal of dough from his Tiffany issues by buying up massively undervalued product in '99-00 (people were chasing Griffey, McGwire, Sosa and Jeter [edit: and A-Rod] instead) and selling in the record-breaking '01 season...

A full auto, opposed to the BBS. That’s special.

Incredible cards everyone. Here are a few more oddball items I obtained at giants games. The parking stub is pretty rare as they used many different players during the '99 season. I went to maybe 8 games and I only got the Bonds once.

Was wondering if anyone happened to have one of these in their Bonds PC. I had been thinking about picking up one of them around the time they were released, but unfortunately missed the boat. I'm curious to know what one would sell for nowadays.

Lol! The work of the late great intoxicating Mr. McWilliam. While a fascinating story behind it, I don't own one. It's pretty much a custom card with no physical ties to Bonds. I/m not sure if the value is still there, but when it first hit is was an easy $1000 card.

Love this thread!

I do not have any cards (which is odd, considering he's my favorite player of all-time), but I have some memorabilia. Who on here really likes that stuff though?
