Ok good, I hope they don't bring it back. I'll take the risk of losing an eye over that softer more durable plastic.

I'm sorry to say this bro, but I think your Flip is a fake, and not authentic from PSA. You bought it on eBay? Did it go through Authenticity Guarantee?

Baseball grail for me would be a nicely centered Nolan Ryan rookie

T206 Walter Johnson I suppose (the version with the blue background).

If a Wagner fell into my lap, I would sell it and live off boat-drinks for the rest of my life.

Almost bought this card when I was 10-12 years old for $50-100 and then almost bought it 3-4 times over the next 30 years until I finally nutted up and bought it a few months ago. Been my grail for a majority of my life, could not be happier to finally own one. My other grails (98 PMG and 97 Certified Team Mirror Gold) cost as much or more than this one, so I'm probably done grail hunting.

Default Grail Card?

Monster card! That is definitely an iconic baseball grail.

It’s amazing how much the prices of the Thomas nnof have soared, even in mid grade

This is mine too with clean corners and a clean ish back from ink smudges. Even the 10 has ink crap all over the back. Yours looks really good. Congrats

I lost out on this card at auction, and sometime later I met online the gentleman who actually bought it. We thankfully worked out a trade. I was into patch cards at the time and wanted a Mantle home patch. This is the only one that I have ever seen(and I think the only card to have a home patch) in the 20+ years of watching for them.

Thanks. One of the reasons I bought it is because of the eye appeal - no smudge, great corners and the centering is about as good as you're going to get on these. Looks every bit as good as the 9's I've seen.

That is an absolutely insane card. Beautiful.

The Jumbo has always been my grail. Got it in 2012 after getting my first real job, which I was asked to quit 3 months in. I bought the button probably while half asleep waking up one morning almost a year ago. Then the barrels I traded for at the Burbank Show. Was afraid to ask on them the first day. I asked the next day and was stunned the dealer was interested in trading for what I had. I gave up mostly Chrome prospects, with the biggest cards being an Elly Purple Sapphire Auto PSA 10 and a Junior Caminero Orange Auto PSA 10. Also gave up a UD Griffey/Mantle Auto I had brought with the intent of slabbing only. But with Ruth barrels on the line, just about anything is fair game. Added some cash too. I think the dealer was happy b/c the barrels can be difficult to move, and the stuff he got allowed him to more easily make deals.

Those are amazing cards. In ten years I feel like the odds are in your favor you’ll be happier with those. The Griffey/Mantle dual auto is the only one that really gives me pause but those come up often enough to get another one wrong be crazy difficult if really interested

Fell in love with the card the first time I saw it.

My left arm for the card I need:

1984 Spokane Indians Newspaper #22 Sandy Alomar Jr.

I collect the first minor league card of Cleveland players. At this point I'm at the role players and the new guys who join the organization. But this one card is just impossible to find. Kills me.
