I texted today for an update. My cards still appears online as "scheduled to be graded", however 2 days ago i was told via text my cards had been graded and were in the encapsulation stage but the website had not updated. Now two days later they again said my cards are in encapsulation but the website still says "scheduled to be graded". I asked why the website had not updated the stage and was told they would "reach out to the team to let them know it should should as encapsulation".

I will say i had an order arrive on 4/9 and it was mailed on 4/18.

All i can do is hit the refresh button and wait.

Click on the Download Submission Detail and open the Excel file. They update the status on that detail file much more often that the submission tracker webpage.

This is interesting, thank you. Didn't show me any new info re: status but does show how they will be labelling the cards.

Thanks for sharing. See my cards have been assigned cert numbers and have been imaged. Tried to see if they show up under the cert verification search. They do not. No shortcuts I suppose.

I did this a few days ago and it says "grade finalized", which makes me think they are not quite to encapsulation yet. They have been in the same state the last three days.

The posted 5 day turn around time is not very accurate.

Just got off the phone with customer service. My cards have been marked as received since 8/8 and on 8/26 my cards were considered "grades finalized" and waiting for encapsulation. They are currently still in that same state and there's no reason as to why they are continuing to just sit. The rep said they have received a large amount of orders and the timeline posted online is not guaranteed. When I stated it was 8 days when I submitted but has now been moved to 5 days, they really did not have a comeback other than nothing is guaranteed. I then asked if "all I can do is simply wait" and his response was "for lack of a better term, yes, that's all you can do".

The rep was very nice but the company is simply failing on my order.

Wow. Yeah, this has been a PSA level experience for me.

My cards have been in "Scheduled for Grading" since 8/26. They've been in their possession since 8/8, I believe. Did the grades show up in the excel download when the cards reached Grades Finalized?

This is really disappointing. CGC is playing loose with the TAT "estimates." First, a package can sit in the mailroom without be entered as received for several days. Then, once its finally officially received it sits for who knows how long before it is changed to scheduled for grading. From what I read elsewhere, scheduled for grading is when the TAT clock finally starts.

CGC knows how long it takes to grade orders. Why not just be up front about it? I'd much rather know that the true TAT is 30 days (calendar days, not business days) instead of some qualified "5 days" advertised on the website.

Yesterday after my call with the rep, an automated email was in my inbox asking if I was satisfied or not. I selected not and then selected something like "customer service was good but issue is not resolved". I thought that was the end of the saga, as they said on the phone there is nothing I can do.
Today CGC replied to that with an email telling me that my cards needed additional research and that research was completed 8/29. My cards are now in the encapsulation/ imagining process. I am not sure what research needed done as all my cards were modern from 2011 until current, I asked if they could tell me what research needed done, they replied that they could not provide me with that information.
Interested to see these get back. Sadly i was planning on taking these to Culture Collision since the 8 day turnaround was advertised, instead I will sell them on ebay or wait until next year and use them for trade.

I agree. When I talking to the rep I asked why my order was taking so long when they advertised 8 days, of course the answer was "that is not a guarantee, just a guide", however I then asked why the website now promotes a 5 day turnaround time and they had no answer. I asked if they were planning on updating the website to reflect the abundance of packages they were receiving (as they said they were backed up due to a large amount of submissions), they said they would reach out to another department about that.
I am fine with whatever a company has for turn around times as long as they are transparent with it. My order will have been a month from the time they scheduled it for grading, It was delivered to them on August 1st. The advertised times can not be 1/3 of the real time.

Just got an email that they are knocking a dollar off bulk and economy to $10 and $13 respectively. Promo for this month. I was going to send in some regular cards along with a JSA order. Laziness for the win I guess. They must be a bit of struggle bus to get cards in the door. That is $8 grading for elite members with bulk pricing.

Can't need too much more business, as they seem busy/slow. My 9 card economy split order (CGC only; CGCxJSA) delivered 8/15, received 8/27 has been stuck in Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging for many moons.

Still in "scheduled for grading."

My order was marked received on 8/8 and is still in "grading/ encapsulation / imaging". It also takes them about a week from the time the package is received to mark it as received so really the cards have been in there possession from before the 1st.
Yet they are advertising 5 business days. These just DO NOT ADD UP.

The good news, I guess, is that if you are ok with waiting a little bit, you can now grade your cards with them for as low as $8 per card. Elite members using bulk can get them done for $8. Non-members can use bulk (25 cards) at $10 per card. The cheapest grader around right now.

Don't get me wrong, I think their slab design is best in class, price is best in market, and I love easy access to JSA. I just wish I could rely on the turn times.

$8 is about as cheap as it has ever been. Hard to beat that price. It is almost back to the SGC glory days of cheap grading.

I think at the cheapest it was $7.20 when they first opened.

I let my subscription run out, but just signed up again. I just did the premium with 10% off. I am not submitting as many cards as I have in the past, so the savings would be minimal for me with elite.

Sorry for the possibly silly question. I couldnt find this anywhere on CGCs site; but is a CGC submission valid for 30 days similar to how PSA's is?

CGC will be at a show near me in Oct and was just curious if I could create the submission near the end of the month and then just drop it off then?

The wording on the site for the deal makes it sound like it needs to be received by the 30th so not sure. Once again apologies I havent dealt with CGC extensively, usually drop offs. But at this price I have some cards I might not usually grade that I would.

Thanks!

My order that was received on 8/8 is still in QC. Had a message exchange on instagram with a rep and was told they would try to find out what is going on.... this is the 3rd time someone from CGC has said they would look into it, no follow through.
