The big issue, which has been repeated ad nauseum here, is that there are no lotto ticket type cards in most MMA products. If you looks at releases like Bloodlines and Knockout, they could charge $200+ a box because you were getting 8-10 hits, with half being autos and in the case of Knockout, most being on-card.

Now we are paying 100% more than we did and getting 50% less. Panini's UFC cards were mostly poop, Topps so far seemingly had gotten worse in my eyes.

I dont disagree... I hate modern cards... all about hype, $$$ and flipping. Plus a twist of over-production and the switch to breakers.

Being a set builder, it sucks. I have only cared about building 2 sets since 2014.

However, it is not necessarily Topps or Panini's fault there are minimal new stars or prospects... or those that do materialize, are instantly over priced.

I mention breakers... there is no denying their increased role has changed the hobby. They can handle breaking expensive product, the younger collectors seem to enjoy watching breakers.. and that just fuels the trend to expensive product. The times are a changing

Breakers have ruined the hobby because what you used to spend on a box, you now spend on a few spots in a break. It's crappy and has completely wax. Fanatics is only going to make it worse, it's no wonder they also operate their own gambling company on top of Fanatics Live, which is also basically a gambling company.

I thought everyone said Topps was gonna bring back quality AND value to UFC cards though?

I will say... I love the Twilight Insert case hits.

I'd try and collect the set but I fear at the price point of cases and them having the longest odds, it's going to be too pricey unless this stuff drops in price a ton.

Aren't the 1:83 packs though - not a case hit - 1 per every 6.5 cases.
I actually hit one release night - Adesanya Twilight /5. Should be at home when i get there from work. Those are nice cards. I have hit a bunch of random autos etc... The patch autos all look boring to me - but some of the names are pretty nice.
Breakers are doing random player auctions either half or full case - it takes a long time too fill - but once done entire break is like 15-18 minutes - at 10-15 bucks a player and 202 players they do make like 700+ depending on price they. bought the boxes for.

They can make much more depending on how they play that game... tons of buyers i have seen for the UFC product - and it is a total gamble.
