2 Blacks - & an Orange. Seems unlikely to see a Pink now, will be looking to buy one to make a page of parallels from this. I like the blue best - powder blue, very 70s; purple next. Orange is underwhelming.

One more Image Variation - that’s 2 of those and 2 Throwbacks from the 4 boxes. Correction - also one Color Swap from 5 total boxes; my LCS opened one box also.

Odd pack held the Image variant - had 13 base cards, not 9. Wasn’t watching for that this morning but could have happened in other boxes. Wouldn’t help card quality, grading wise.

Although the corner damage is basically routine on every hit card, it is also routinely on the back of the card and I have yet to see any loss of eye appeal on the fronts.

I did a quick 3 box break to see the cards and got the Dodgers.....Ohtani black /50.

Cards look great...looking forward to getting the Ohtani to see if it can be graded. Either way, I am not a collector of non RC Ohtani so I will probably sell it.

I don't hate it....after all I built the regular Heritage set this year, and pretty much everyone on here knows that I like Heritage and other types of retro sets.

I just don't like the way Topps is treating collectors by withholding the product information we need to help decide how to allocate our budgets.

And everyone also knows that I call a spade a spade....Topps had a great opportunity to make the Minis a really awesome product. Instead they got lazy and mailed it in. They could have done a lot more with this had they been willing to put in the effort.

It just another example of Fanatics being lazy and counting on people/addicts to buy second-rate products.

A shorter auto checklist isn’t the same thing as a weaker auto checklist.

Depends on your perspective.

I primarily collect HOFers....so for me the fact that multiple HOFers had autos in regular Heritage but not in the Minis is a major negative. No Ryan, no Schmidt, no Bench, no Reggie, no Jim Rice, etc.

Topps/Fanatics obviously did not plan well enough to have the required cards ready so that the majority of retired HOFers could sign their regular sized cards AND mini cards at the same time.

Yeah, it could have been curated better with more attention to 75- centric details but to me it seems like a fun little rip for the cost of a dinner for 2 at a crappy low grade chain restaurant(no alcohol)
Seems about as low risk and fun as you can get for fiddy dollar box in 2024 to me.
I remember when boxes of 1987 fleer got to almost $50 around this time of year 35 years ago with no autographs or numbered parallels.

May be an odd question as I am not normally a set builder but I built the Allen & Ginter regular backed mini sets from 2006-2018 along with all the mini subsets and regular sized subsets. I purchase 16 boxes of Heritage Mini. I am interested in trying to build a master set of this, and then maybe going back to grab a case of regular Heritage and beginning to work on a master set of that.

My question is, what does a master set consist of? With there being regular base and SP, along with the insert subsets, I would assume that is what a master set would consist of. What about hard to obtain subsets like the image variations, throwbacks, etc? Are any of the colored border sets like the black, blue, white, etc. considered part of a master set? I would assume some of the hardcore collectors would be going for some of those.

A Master Set is normally considered the base set + base short prints + insert sets. It does not typically include SSPs, variations or numbered parallels,
