Topps/Fanatics has done a very poor job figuring out the target audience for different products and then building a product that would appeal to that specific type of collector.

Regular Heritage is a perfect example of this in that the target audience should be set builders, but Topps/Fanatics has made increasingly difficult to actually build the basic master set (by increasing the number of SP's from 75 to 100, and by making it harder to build the basic insert sets (Then & Now, Flashbacks, New Age Performers, etc.).

And while it may only make a small dent in Topps sales, it does discourage set-builders like me from buying the product unless we absolutely love the design for that year.

So the real question is whether or not Topps/Fanatics have figured out who the target audience for a 1975 mini stand-alone product is, and whether or not they've formulated the product to appeal to that audience.

I am seeing pre-sale information for the boxes out there and I did see a price of $49.97 for the box.

I'm wondering if some of the info just got populated from regular Heritage. I'm doubtful they are doing a Target version with Red parallels for Mini, but who knows?

It had to have. If you get 2 SPs per box on average then you wouldn't also get SPs at 1:3 packs (12 packs per box). I don't think the info in the product details section is correct.

Probably $60 per box.

10 cards per pack.
12 packs per box.
Look for 1 white bordered variation, 2 base card short prints, 2 insert cards, and 3 base card short printed parallels per box on average.
My guess is that topps will limit the production of mini. The 3 base card parallel will be chrome and consist of chrome /999, chrome/575, chrome /375, chrome /75, chrome /5, and chrome /1. I just can't see them printing this to Uranus like heritage but I could be wrong. 😂

Unfortunately they've proved time and again they don't care about the old school set builders. They'd rather have poor collation and force you to buy more product.

I think they do know their target audience. They knew 1975 was going to be popular and they knew people were going to buy it no matter what.

Let's hope Mini is one of the "bones" they throw us and it's a good setup.

Indeed. This product is going to suck. The votes are in. The BO elite have spoken.

I encourage you all to stay far away from this product.

Any news?

This is supposed to be coming out on Wednesday, and not a peep anywhere in the hobby media....

Fanatics hasn't given advanced information out to any media in quite some time. We'll see it pop up on their site with an email same day.

No checklist, no odds until 2 weeks after pre-sales.

Same story as always, the days of sell sheets and early information are long gone.

Topps tweeted yesterday that there are details coming soon about the product. Hopefully they will send out the product release schedule this week but could be delayed since most employees are probably at the Industry Conference.

I'm still questioning the info. 120 cards w/ 3 numbered for $50 seems way out of line with Topps pricing.

One piece of info I'm dying to know is if those 3 numbered are in fact chrome like has been speculated.

If it's the EXACT same format and checklist as regular Heritage, then meh....I'll save my "wax ripping" budget for Chrome Platinum Anniversary.

Now if it's got some of the HOFers/retired players that were included as Box Toppers in regular Heritage, or has some other wrinkles that make it different, then it might be a fun rip.

no reason for it to be anything but the 2024 Heritage set in mini form.

you know, like the 1975 version

I’m glad they made it plain Jane

I was worried about chrome and autos etc and it would go to 200 a box or something stupid

Let it be cheap and let people make there sets

Except for the fact that the hobby is completely different now than it was in 1975.

Back then, the minis were a limited test release in a unique format (that didn't catch on), and there was only one product released every year.

Now you have 100+ products being released every year, and a variety of different product include mini-sized cards. So there's nothing really unique about them.

What made previous Heritage minis interesting is that they were #/100 and therefore very hard to find. Without the scarcity factor, I'm not sure how much collector interest there will be if it's identical to regular Heritage.

It's in line with how they did 2022 Mini. I was expecting it to go up, but my guess is that they peaked at the secondary market for Mini wax and decided against raising the prices.
