Sorta this. I remember the couple before that but that Pats/Packers SB is the reason I'm a Packers fan. I was about 12 at the time, jumped on the bandwagon like kids do, and have been a Packers fan since.

I don’t remember his nickname ever being “The Snake”. I believe you’re thinking of Jake Plummer.

Very cool,

Looking back on it, do you think O'Donnell intentionally threw the game? I've heard the conspiracies on that over the years.

Super Bowl XXV. As a Giants fan it's a great memory, I was 7 years old. Jim Kelly vs Jeff Hostetler. Wide Right!

Was also a big deal growing up in Bills' country as a Giants fan

Super Bowl XXXVI was the first one I watched all the way through. As a young Pats fan from the Boston area, it seemed like an absolutely massive deal at the time.

In the moment it looked like he “threw to a spot” but the receiver didn’t break that way. Miscommunication.

We need a companion thread for those heavy drinkers and folks who have "quit" football:

"What was the last Super Bowl you remember watching?"

Super Bowl IV Len Dawson vs. Joe Kapp. I remember the AFL Championship Game the year before when Namath & the Jets beat Lamonica & the Raiders, but I have no memory of watching SB III.

Rats, come on. You were there for all of em, including Allegheny Atheletic over Pittsburgh Athletic. You had a cold Sasparilla afterward.

This is me. The 49ers were stacked. The next day, my elementary school teacher brought in a SF newspaper to class to show the photo of Steve Young grasping the Lombari trophy.

Super Bowl XXXIII Falcons vs Broncos

I remember going to a Super Bowl party with my parents. My brother and I played football in the basement with the other kids at the party and broke out the dirty bird celebration

This. I instantly became a Bills fan only to be disappointed another 3 years. One game that I'll never forget was the Bills vs Oilers. Greatest comeback at that time.

This wasn't my first, but this one hurt after the Chargers beat the Steelers,

Super Bowl XX was probably my first. Was cool seeing McMahon in a Chargers jersey several years later.

1987, super bowl XXI. Giants Vs Broncos....

I remember it well.

Giants were my father's favorite team, so it was the first time we ever attended a SB party.

The host families dog ripped my upper lip off after I ripped my glove out of its mouth when it wouldn't let it go after we came in from running around outside at half time.

Had to be rushed to the ER for them to reattach in the back of our giant station wagon with my mom holding it on and slowing the bleeding with a wash rag in the back of our Chevy wagon.

My Dad missed his favorite team win the super bowl (he was an abusive #@#@#@#@#@#@#@ due to his untreated bi polar depression, which I would find out 5 and 15 years later, respectively) and the family had to put their dog down.

We weren't invited to another one for about 8 years.

Not a great memory, but vivid.
