How do we know the base pieces on USA player cards are from a USA game? With no authentication sticker, it can be from any World Baseball Classic game. The wording on the back of the card is:

"The relic contained in this card is from a base used during the 2023 World Baseball Classic."

Haven't watched them all but break #13 has a nice one in it.
What a hit. Beauty.

Noted, should have used 130point instead of Ebay for my numbers.
Still, a huge percentage is tied to Ohtani! And that number doesn't account for his non-Relic autos.

...some other great hits, but I watched about 5 of the cases those breakers opened so far and I only had my opinion reinforced: these are a ton of fun to open but a whole lot of box lots of 4 are just not going to return $320. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this - it's still great for the money - but it's just a good reminder to temper hopes and expectations.

That said, I did just get my 3 boxes delivered and I was fortunate.

Someone earlier in this thread said that you can tell which boxes are "thick," and that was my experience.

I opened 1 box that was slightly thicker than the other 2 and it was very good: Acuna Auto Relic/50, Lars Nootbaar Global Grandeur, Freddie Freeman Orange/25.

Doesn't change any of what a lot of us have said about this great product: I was quite lucky and after watching 150 boxes opened I know this box was an exceptional one. I opened for the chance at a box like this and was rewarded. The other 2 are birthday gifts and I was forced to promise to wait a couple weeks to break them, so those are on ice for the moment.

Damn, you hit a /25 out of a modern product and sold it for 35 x MSRP?!

Can't beat that.

Congratulations on the hit and sale!!

I figured this would be a product to take a chance on, especially since there was a free shipping option. The checklist for autos is good and as people have said, just a decent chance at an Ohtani patch auto from his epic WBC performance is worth the $80 in comparison to most products these days.

Also, when you consider how much Topps Now relics cost (and how quickly they often sell out), these have the potential to be better collectibles being the tournament is only every 4 years and has gotten more popular each time.

Consider that most wax these days is a 10% return, this is a goldmine.

The vast majority of products, outside of some possible rare exceptions, don't return 100% value when ripping. That's to be expected and I think we all agree on that. However, this product @ MSRP offers a significantly better ROI (on average) than most other products @ MSRP. I think that's also something we agree on.

This product offers great value, which is a rare occurrence these days. Not to mention, you generally don't see any real "big" cards coming out of a sub-$100 (maybe even sub-$150) products either. But, this product offers that experience at a low price-point (and the hit rates seem to be better than the more expensive hobby wax too). Not to mention, very minimal redemptions too. That's why this is such an awesome product for all ripping/holding/flipping, even with sticker autos. It's not the perfect product (there's no perfect product out there) but it's a fantastic one and an absolute gift from Topps.

And, more importantly, CONGRATULATIONS on your break outcome!!

All true; I've already said everything you just said and agree with it. None of that renders irrelevant the practical reminder that not every 4 box (or more) break is going to "put you in the black."

...and thanks Akira! Was great to wind up with that and know that I still did just fine no matter what I get in the next 2.

Hit this beauty yesterday. Definitely not the top name on the auto checklist but I think somewhere in the middle. No real idea what it's worth, only the Gelof /1 has sold and that looks to be for $450, so I'm hoping somewhat similar for the Realmuto Foilfractor auto. It's available if anyone's interested and will be up on eBay later tonight

Thanks! I have opened 8 boxes so far (8 more on the way) and hit all these:

Shohei Ohtani Auto/Relic Orange #/25 (sold for $2800)
Shohei Ohtani 2006 Topps variation Gold #/50 (sold for $380)
Kensuke Kondoh Global Grandeur Red parallel #/5 (sold for $200)
Cedric Mullins Country Debut Red Parallel Auto #/5 (sold for $70)
Andres Gimenez Auto/Relic Black #/10 (pending offer of $50)
Masataka Yoshida Auto (pending offer of $70)
Juan Soto Auto/Relic Orange #/25 (still have)
Munetaka Murakami Base Relic (still have)
Bo Naylor Auto/Relic Orange #/25 (still have)

I'm up around $3000 in profit. Even if I didn't hit the Ohtani auto relic I would be doing very well. I know there are dud boxes though and I have been very lucky so far. Probably all down hill for my last 8 boxes...

Hopefully the good luck continues!

I'll guess Acuna.

Do the namteplate cards come with anything else in the pack? or just the single booklet.

Four more boxes from Topps busted. Think I will get my money back but pulled two Frelick base autos. Pictures incoming.

This product is horrible. I think people should stop buying it and save their money for something else.

Yeah, what a pile of junk. Better to spend 500 on sapphire draft for those MOJO 16 year old auto hits.
