Thanks for the suggestion. Little too early for that.

Just taking a subtle jab at another poster who suggested the same thing for Mookie a few days back.

It’s a compliment in my book.

The man is very good, there's no denying that. Being able to feast on poor pitching tilts the odds that much more in his favor.

I don’t think anyone said anything about Mookie having his big day on Sunday against (3-8) 4.95 ERA Tanner Houck and 4.74 ERA Chris Murphy… Because it doesn’t matter. You get crappers one day and Zac Gallen the next - the same Gallen that almost everyone seemed to homer off of last night.

So true. “But it was against Gallen”. Gallen gave up 6 runs and 4 homers last night in 5.3. Lol. Be better than that BO.

Agree.

Mookie and Acuna are both going to feast on pitchers who have an off night or should be in the minors. It's a long year and these types of things average out.

The internet has been accusing the Braves of cheating pretty much all season. It's only fair to assume, then, that anyone who is on a hot streak must be cheating as well.

Then Marcell must not have had his buzzer on for the first two months of the season…

And Eddie for most of the year!

MLB "wants" the Braves/Acuna to win the world series/MVP.

This was pre-determined back before the season started. They want the MVP to be in question right up to the playoffs to keep people talking.

Acuna moved up to the #15 spot on the Single-Season Record for Power-Speed #. He passed Rickey Henderson’s 1990 MVP season and is just behind Larry Walker’s 1997 MVP season.

"Power/Speed Number 2 x (Home Runs x Stolen Bases)/(Stolen Bases + Home Runs) The harmonic mean of HR and SB"

That seems really random...
But a 35 HR, 70 Steal season will easily be #1 all time.

It’s impressive. Henderson posted 24/80 and 28/87 in 85-86. I only wonder about how legitimate many will lol at this with the rule changes and larger bases. It’s impressive but the bases are more accessible for guys stealing now more than they were in the past. Still a heck of an accomplishment

The next rule change that will help stealing bases (and players staying healthy) is hopefully allowing for pop ups. It's ridiculous to have players jam their leg or wrist into the base.

Yes, guys are stealing more bases. But Ronald is stealing way more than anyone else in the NL.

If you want to dismiss stolen bases bases of the new rules, let's throw out average and pretty much all hitting stats because teams aren't allowed to shift now. Let's also discredit everything because of the pitch clock, which has had more violations on pitchers, giving batters a free ball and swinging the at bat in favor of the hitter. Let's factor in the pitch clock forcing some pitchers to work faster, causing them to tire quicker.

All of these rules were put in to benefit the offense and increase scoring. Sorry that Ronald is taking advantage more than others? Everybody is playing by the same rules this season.

You joke but Freeman is somehow an elite baserunner despite being in the 33rd percentile for sprint speed.

Oh I know. I watched him in a Braves uni for years. Freeman is smart. Takes his opportunities when he sees them. Makes me wonder why Mookie isn't taking his bags. Is it a speed, sprint, baserunning, some other issue?
