They finally removed that one. I used it a month ago for $50 off premium and elite. Glad I did it when I could.

Me too. I joined around July 11th.

I enjoyed the Collect This podcast which was the source of the code and it was too bad it just went away back in the winter. It was a great mix hobby and sports content.

CS replied back that if you want to do combined shipping back you need to include a note on your packing slip which CS never told me when I called them on the phone. Since I had already shipped my order (actually arrived at CSG today) they are just applying a $20 credit to my account to cover the return shipping potion of my reholder order. In my opinion this was an acceptable solution and glad they did the right thing without me needing to beg or shout.

Default Bulk Submission

25 Card Bulk

Received 07/17
Popped 08/15

This was my first sub with CSG. Everything went pretty much as expected. I also have a PSA membership, but for these types of cards I'm just going to start using CSG.

Yup, I use both Companies for different stuff. Most of my stuff goes to CGC tho. Esp now when I pay $9 to grade vs. "wait around for a special just to get it to $15"

With PSA vintage you don't just have to wait for a $15 special, you also have to wait three or four months to get your cards back. It took me a month to get these cards graded, and also I filled out the order with a couple of modern cards, which I couldn't have done with PSA.

I hear ya, I missed the 80s special on some subset im doing PSA only on and they are cheap commons dont want to pay $19 each for. $15 already pushing it but im talking cards that are only worth $1 I need to grade.

I'll buy almost any grading company (if a really crappy co. then its to crack and sub elsewhere, with obvious low expectations, rare circumstance of course not seeking it out ) ... but I send in to grade like 90% CGC and 10% PSA

For those of you who pay attention to gemrate data. Do we know if the database stuff is fixed so the numbers being reported are both TCG and sports cards? For as low as it is, I would guess no. CGC did claim that the database consolidation would be done this month.

I don't really follow it, but CGC had a post on fb that included some numbers for July - Trading Cards: Grading - 164,632, Reholder - 28,562; Sports Cards: Grading - 25,820, Reholder - 2,781. I don't know if this helps...

Weird gemrate post for July on CGC was 55K. Which they acknowledged was not sports cards at all. That is still a 110K difference from their post. Does their number include cards taken in from ebay authentication?

Maybe gemrate is grabbing things correctly.

Gemrate is tracking graded cards, not the number of cards received. The intake cards won't show up on gemrate until next month or after when they are done being graded

Decided to give them a shot. I don't mind their cases.

Signed up for the $149 membership and sent a 25 card bulk. Many are PC that I'd like slabbed, including a PSA crack-out to see how it fares. A few re-sell cards to test out as well.

That makes sense. We should expect an uptick in germrate in the coming weeks.

My 38-card bulk order arrived on 08/15 via UPS and was entered into their system on 08/16. As of 08/17 the status is Scheduled for Grading. I was expecting it to take much longer to get to this point.

it sits at Quality Control/ Finalization much longer in my experience.

Quick question. How are you guys getting $9 grading? When I look under their fees it shows $12 per card. I realized that at some point late last year I signed up for a membership with CGC and never used it. So was going to try to use it before it expires (only associate level). Do you need to have a higher level membership for the $9 submissions?

Elite membership is 20% off. That is $9.60 after discount.

It used to be a great deal when they had discount codes to sign up for each level. Could get premium for $99 with $150 credit. Then you could get elite for $229 with $150 credit.

I have my last Kirill Kaprizov PC sub going in when I get two more cards in. It has been fun and the cards look great in the CSG slab.

I wish I had known this...2 years ago, they told me they couldn't hold the shipments and combine them, so i didn't think to ask this time around. Ended up with 3 shipments of $20 each, they had 3 different turnaround times (5 day, 15 day and 30 day), but they all were shipped within 4 days from the first to the 3rd. coulda saved me $40

Think I might try to send an order of modern sports and TCG to CGC to try them out. PSA is just taking way too long these days. Going to try to make it more PC cards so that I really am not all too concerned with the grades.

Just checked status and it's showing:
Grading / Encapsulation / Imaging

How long does this usually take before shipping back?

Thank you! I like the sound of that!

Also faster than PSA Regular Service. Its the 11th business day and PSA still in "Grading".
