I started back collecting during covid. Looks like I started getting on the Ohtani band wagon 3/14/21. Looks like I spent $105 dollars on the lot below at a local card show.

Almost exact same situation for me. Sprint was my cell provider and they merged with T-Mobile so I started getting MLB.tv for free, which is when I really got a chance to see him in action on the regular.

Got me wondering what my first Ohtani purchase was. I got back into the hobby in late February - early March of 2022. I started off doing breaks but quickly realized that was a road to nowhere.

I bought my first Ohtani on April 1, 2022. A PSA 10 Heritage Action #600 for $335.

Didn't get in as early as many people here but I think I did alright on that purchase.

Detmers is great tonight, but 100+ pitches through 7. He threw 108 pitches in his no-hitter last year, so maybe he goes back out?

If not, let Ohtani close this no-hitter.

I have to wait a couple weeks for eBay authentication, but will post pics once I get it.

It's not a heavy hitter like y'all have, but I will say that my baseball card budget is now zero.

I didn't even buy the card for an investment. I thought of it a minor league card that would never really have much value. At the time I paid $100 which wasn't inexpensive for a card like this. I remember the seller telling me it would be a $200 card when he reached MLB. He was right about that part.

Oh lol it definitely wasn't an all star card. I think we just posted around the same time

If it was the stickered auto it wouldn't have been on my radar anyway.

Oh okay. Yeah stickers aren't my thing either, as noted earlier. That said, the ASG auto was super SP last year so it's not surprising someone snagged it. Looking forward to your reveal
