Woof, that's rough. Almost half a year. Unacceptable. IMO vintage is so much easier than grading modern. Modern, you are looking for minute flaws to deny PSA 10 or to explain a PSA 8 or PSA 9. Vintage, most of the flaws are much more obvious and easily detectable. What the heck!?

I disagree about vintage being easier to grade. You need much more experience with the paper stock, common print defects, checking for registration issues, and the cards range from 1 through 10. With ultra-modern, you are just grading the majority of cards 9/10 and quickly finding issues. Do you actually think the graders explain a 8 or 9? They just glance, put what they think, and move on. With vintage you need to spend extra time trying to find surface wrinkles as well.

Yup. And the crazy thing is they literally do not care. If you comment on their social media…crickets. Call them at 9:05 am, customer service is full for the day. They are the Comcast/ATT/United Airlines of the hobby. They literally do not care how awful they are because they don’t have to. I’ve spent literally tens of thousand of dollars with PSA, but I think I’m done. There are other hobbies that don’t involve this level of nonsense.

My order finally moved from QA2 to Shipping but the grades aren't available. I thought that they automatically popped when it went to Shipping, but I guess not.

How do you guys think they do QA2? Some dope looks at the cards and decides if any of them look too fancy for the service level? Then some other dope hops on Card Ladder to pull comps?

How does a 7 card modern sports value + order take 4+ days in QA2 while a 96 card modern sports special order take 2 days? I’m in no rush to get these back, but can PSA not appreciate how issues like this damage the uptake of higher service levels?

Thats the stage where they knock down 10s to 9s and 9s to 8s. They need to crack and reslab after all the grade changes.

, Mine just hit Research and ID on Wednesday! Arrived at PSA on June 15th. Five weeks (business days) and not even to GRADING yet. Meanwhile, I’ve sent over 100 cards to SGC in seven different orders. Five of them are in hand and the remaining two are supposed to be in my mailbox Monday morning. This is my final PSA order.

Grading is grading, but the customer service at PSA is hands down the worst in the BIZ. Arrogance and hobby insiders with millions invested will unfortunately continue this trend. I’m hoping the consumer wises up. It is a form of gambling. If you want PSA , just buy the slabs on eBay. I just picked up an 82 Topps Ripken (PSA 8) for $26. You probably can’t even get a NM raw card for that price. Then, if you send it to be graded, you’ll wait five months to get a “7” from PSA.

Upcharges happen like this: some remote worker, working his second or third gig, gets your list of grading results and looks up the cards one at a time, at midnight, before sheer exhaustion ends his efforts for the day. I think this only happens to a portion of the orders, and I think QA2 only happens to a portion of the orders as well, depending on how backed up they are.

Monthly Special 1 23 Ultramodern sports cards arrived 6/22/23 been in QA2 with list disappeared for several days now. Bet those 10s are becoming 9s

Shipped mid February for their value special. Checked in March 01. Now stuck on Q2 for a week. Very frustrating!
