Yeah, had to see what the hangers were all about. Left all of the megas. I did get a nice price for the megas.

My 3 Target megas arrived. I should have listened to the board and returned them. Zero autos. One numbered card /199 Villar. The quality and centering were OK. Most of my purples were veterans. Zero Julio or Bobby. Only purples of note were 2 Kwan and 1 Hunter Greene.

Opened my two Mega’s today. My best hits were a purple Witt, Peña RC base, Jake McCarthy auto redemption and a Kramer Robertson auto.

Not that I’m endorsing one way or the other, but pulling a pink wave Julio is what convinced you that these weren’t worth opening?

2 Hangers and a Mega. Pujols was a nice pull #'d 99, Julio is horribly OC. Rest of my pinks and purples were vets.

No, I was on the fence about opening the megas I purchased pre-sale from Target due to several reasons including checklist, odds, condition, etc. Pulled the trigger to sell the boxes but wanted to see what the cards looked like in hand so looked for hanger boxes at a local Target. Not just the Julio but the condition of most of the cards was the tipping point that I need to move on from this product. Last year I probably busted over 100 megas and hangers and lost money. So didn''t want that scenario to play out again this year.

The print run of this stuff looks like it is similar to that of regular chrome. So there is a lot of it. Combine that with the poor quality control and that's a recipe for a lot of unopened product sitting around for a long time. So my apologies if this is a newb question, but who is on the hook for it at this point? Has Topps essentially sold all of it to various distributors and so the distributors have to figure out what to do with it? Or does Topps have an obligation to make their distributors "whole" if this stuff just sits? Or does no one really know what sorts of agreements Topps has in place. I'm just trying to think through who gets hurt by bad products like this, and could the "pain" ultimately lead to a change in behavior that would lead to better products in the future.

Just opened the 1st of 3 boxes I just received from Target. From what I’m reading I should consider myself lucky and return the other two boxes.

QC is bad for all product’s lately, especially those printed IN the USA. There is no excuse, BUT, if you hit the RIGHT rookie AND the quality is good, a PSA 10 would be huge. Again, no excuse for the quality of this product, but just saying. I grabbed a hanger and a mega to test the waters.

I will look at them later, but Julio base, Julio purple, and 2 Pena cannot be that bad. I also hit a RC auto of some SF guy. I did notice the pink waves have much better centering.

Got my 3 boxes. Opened it up... Topps Holiday. Took it to Target for the return and. Not even sure what Topps Holiday cost but got my money back for Chrome.

Not touching this product.

Damn Topps!!, with alot of us, I really want to open alot of this stuff, but this is even worse than Panini Prizm BK and FB this year.

Such a great product if it was cut correctly.

I guess buying wax and not opening is OK, because in 5 years from now we will forget how bad it is or let someone else take a chance on opening it??

Well maybe Hobby printing saves the product....

oh well, more money to just save and buy singles. PSA submission volume forecast just dropped for this product. Maybe 20% worth grading?

I am sure they are hearing stuff and they do review these forums so I am pretty sure they know about this. But if these cards grade 7 or better, that is all that counts for them.

What a nightmare. Even if not grading, for a modern card, for the money spent you would hope you get a tad bit better centering than that. Returning the megas arriving today unopened back to Target. Not buying any more unopened TCU for now.

Anxious to see hobby boxes. Hoping they used a completely different batch of cards for those. Guess there was no respect for Mega boxes but maybe there will be for Hobby. Better QC. Not holding my breath though.
