2022 Topps Chrome Update

Date of December 14 has dropped for the release of 2022 Topps Chrome Update. This has traditionally been an Excell exclusive (Target, BN, etc.). Thought this product should have it's own thread with the RC potential.

Drop date is in general usage but are we now saying that drop dates are also dropped? Card vocabulary is so confusing.

What is the RC potential? Who are you speculating will be on it?

Agree 100%. There's no reason to do big releases like this with a certain retailer. They are leaving money on the table (in today's hobby).

Looked at the date it’s a Wednesday,that's when target those it’s drops for sports cards. Makes sense. I hope they keep it a target exclusive, print run is not crazy because it’s exclusive to target/excel.

My bn stoped doing limits so getting a 10% off will be great

I know 2022 Topps Chrome Update Baseball wont be out until December..

Currently Wander Franco Rookie cards will be in this product and we could possibly see BOBBY WITT JR / JULIO RODRIGUEZ / RILEY GREENE / ADLEY RUTSCHMAN and a few others if they get called up soon.
at $250 / hobby box doesnt it sound to good to be true?

Francos Base Rookie will probably sell for $50-$75 while Witt-Jrod could be in the $25-50 range.

By this time PSA should have a $35-50 grading level

Any thoughts on the potential of this product as well as the current price?

I think it could be one of the hottest products if not the hottest of these past years.

The only cards that are going to matter are the Babe Ruth SSP and the Mike Trout SSP, something about being GOAT in baseball. Everyone else is forgettable.

Wasn't this $50 a box last year and overproduced? Didn't buy any.

2019 was the best when I could just buy as many as wanted for what felt like months. I kind of missed the boat on 2018
