Was trying for a 2 grade jump. but did not get it.
1/2 - 1 grade bump on all cards graded this time around.

100% success bump up in grades.

Isn't this service only for cards you're then going to sell via PWCC? Or can you have them returned to you instead?

Yes, Sent directly to the auction. Been getting Ebay comps. Only expect the platform to get better in the future.

These are CSG/CGC early slabs and labels i am cracking. With 7's and 8's in those slabs, they are worthless. 9-10 are making some money. Just a very interesting situation.

The better 8's are going to PSA.

Yup, cards were all purchased and intended for PSA but shutdown eliminated me from being able to submit.

The only cards I was able to submit is via Economy as I had vouchers avaialble, and the voucher loopwhole allowed for me to submit a 100+ card order as there was no qty limit on how many cards you could submit so the highest valued cards did go to PSA, but even low end modern bulk (the Ja/Zion garbage) that was intended for PSA ended up going to CSG. Overall the grades got hammered pretty hard. But they were nit picky over specific stuff. I suspected their initial grading standard would be similar to BGS given they are BGS guys but they were clearly tougher.

Since I gave CSG a hard time last time about their speed shipping via USPS, it was much faster this time. Marked as "shipped" on 7/29, arrived at the post office on 8/1. Not sure if they are fixing the process or if I just got lucky.

I need to check my tracking. I was not expecting it until at least Friday based on my last shipment.

So I had a credit to burn and decided to run a little experiment. I am thinking two things here:

1. The comments about CSG easing up on the early overly harsh surface grading doesn't seem to be accurate. If that was the case, the two 8.5 would be 9s and the 9 would be a 9.5 I think.

2. Grading seems to be pretty darn consistent from green label to black label.

Get out of here with your evidence! Grade says that they've eased up so it has to be true!

Thank you and I will continue to say, if people send quality cards to CSG and not rejects that people don’t thing will gem with PSA, They will get quality grades. They admitted to easing up, grading more like PSA on centering, but getting a CSG 10 is still very difficult.

I've sent about 15 CSG 8-9's to PSA and over half got PSA 10's including a silver prizm Maxey that went from CSG 8 to PSA 10. That was the biggest jump.

Someone point me in the direction of the post where the submitter submitted dozens of green labels, cracking them out first, to be graded again and every card was bumped up at a minimum 1 grade.

Evidence

The green label to new label is much more complicated than CSG grades "easier" now. CSG was extremely inconsistent when they first started, which is to be expected with a new company. You could get a big stack of green label slabs from an order that was easier or a stack of green label slabs from an order that they ripped apart. Dozens of cards from one order is not proof of anything. We would need samples from orders from every week CSG graded cards from their green labels and submit them in multiple separate orders from new CSG standards.

Edit: You also need to consider cards that were graded with subgrades versus cards without subgrades as well. Did they grade the cards the same? What subgrades are the most important with CSG's new grading? This is more complicated than people realize, and you can make a case CSG grades harder, easier, or exactly the same right now with your own experience. The only two things we know are CSG did loosen centering grades by 5% for the Gem Mint, Mint, etc... and Andy Broome did acknowledge they lowered their surface standards. The people that also have every card go up in grades may know what they are doing. They are analyzing the cards in the case and also could be inspecting/cleaning them before they submit again. Heck, they could be polishing those bad boys and also doing card "repairs." If they crack a card and it doesn't look good, they might not submit it as well. Too many damn variables to get a good understanding how cards were grading in 2021 versus now.

Seen this in a CSG/CGC group.
Many members had good results resubbing.

I think that stack of 9's to 9.5's is not as impressive as it first looks. On the old scale a 9 was Mint and a 9.5 was Gem Mint. We can't forget that a Mint Plus did not exist at that time. Loosening grading standards by 5% and the change in the grading scale is all it takes to slightly improve the grade. What I find interesting is the consistency of the grading. Only 4 out of the 33 grades listed went from a Mint to Gem Mint. I think if you got 33 PSA 9's and resubmitted them, more than 4 of them would be upgraded to a PSA 10. If PSA created a Mint plus, how many PSA 9's for ultra-modern would get a bump up from a 9 to a 9.5? In my opinion a lot of them would. With ultra-modern cards like this, these were probably very high 9's and getting a 9.5 on a new scale is to be expected.

Just for fun I tried to prove a point and failed. I cracked and resub 5 8's trying to Gem.

8 Bump 9
8 bump 9
8 bump 9
8 bump 8.5
8 bump 8.5

Failed. so did not post it. Pretty good fail though.

Is the top 2 corners whitening or just glare?

Got some very sensitive paper color border cards i was worried about corner grading and holding out sending to any TPG.

Minor whitening. Probably what kept it from being a 10.

Sent some mid range raw $xxxx cards to PSA. Had some whitening, 7 was best at PSA and 8.5 was best at BGS. Might be pop control, cause the expensive card was 7 psa. Had 8 and 9's for some of the other cards with same type of whitening but were just superstars, not rookie highest value for that set. Never expected 10's cause the whitening but 6-7's was being little harsh when other cards all graded higher. IDK.

Everyone says no pop control, but i have some really evidence of subs that point to pop control by PSA. Who knows what the heck is going on.

I have plenty of PSA 10s with similar whitening as the Trae Gold CSG 9.5. Probably just had a new grader.

I have to ask this question.. Why would you send a card possibly worth $1000+ to CSG? I have no problem with under $100-200 going to any TPG. When it gets over $1000, it goes to PSA.
