Won't be surprised is Allen gets KD's spot...

I thought Allen was an all star up until recently. In January his scoring dropped to 14 per game and Garland was a finalist for EC Player of the Month.

You never know what the future holds, but the set up is good:

Mobley and Allen in the front court as far as the eye can see. Markannen and Okoro under team control for a number of years to come. A lot of draft picks moving forward.

I know a lot of people will tell you that LaMelo is the future, but Cavs/Hawks with Garland vs Trae could be a good rivalry for years to come. Good for the NBA if it happens, too.

Not at all. As a matter of fact, over his last 8 games he's averaging 28 points and 9 assists.

What makes it even more impressive is that he's doing it with shooting splits of 54%/48%/92%.

He's been a remarkably efficient scorer for a point guard this year. Moreso than guys like:
-Curry
-Trae
-Luka
-Morant
-Lamelo
-Harden
-Murray
-VanVleet
-CP3
-Derozan
-Booker
-Mitchell.

So in other words, every All Star guard other than Zach Lavine. And how close are he and Lavine? If Garland had made 1 more shot that he missed this year, he'd be in the lead.

Garland with another great game last night. He definitely makes the Cavs a fun team to watch this season. I’ve been picking up a few random cards of his, definitely not a ton out there because of his UD deal.

I say that because since break he's been averaging 26 pts and 11 assists per game.

I like to go back and this about all the Garland stuff that was ripped and disregarded by people looking for Bol Bol, D'andre Hunter, Tyler Herro, Rui Hachimura, Cam Reddish, Sekou, Kevin Porter Jr, Talon Horton Tucker, Eric Paschall, and other the other guys who were probably outselling him at one point.

Last 3 games Garland has totaled 43 assists and only 7 turnovers. Also averaging 26 points per game.

This dude is so good, a young all-star, and on a young and exciting team. Maybe not quite ja morant and the grizzlies, but not really so far off that he’s in that different a situation. With the limited nature of his high end RC options, why aren’t his available high-end RC options like numbered colored prizm or one and one parallels more expensive? Maybe more in line with some of his 2019 class peers? Am I missing something?

A few thoughts:

I'd say his numbered Prizm do pretty well in high grade, or at least have lately:
-PSA 10 Orange sold for $6,100 in Jan, then $8,900 in Feb
-PSA 10 Tiger sold for over $4k in Feb
-PSA 10 Black Gold sold for $13.5 back in Nov/Dec maybe? I'm sure it would do more now.

His 1 And 1 Gold that sold for $4k seems like a good buy.

I think what's holding him back is the a lack of hype, partially caused by not having the full gambit of rookie RPAs. There's a cycle in cards where the more key rookies a guy has, the more people collect him, the more people hype him up. If you are on instagram, you'll notice that none of the big accounts are pumping him, mostly because they don't have enough stock in him to make it worth while. The flip side of this is that if he ever truly breaks out, there's opportunity for a huge short squeeze in his important stuff.

I remember you talking about this guy a while back, this particular player and that 1/1 card of his you put money into, if I remember correctly. This is the difference between a well versed, savvy investor and these scummy profiteers that call themselves investors. I don't watch the league / invest, but looks like you made a correct call.
