Well maybe he isn't setting the world on fire and I know he'll never get the hobby love but he's still hitting well...2 for 2 tonight...BA at .281.

He's only 22 and having a great season. Keeps getting better every month. His BC auto is 50 bucks. There's no reason that can't double in the near future

I believe he is the team leader in OPS right now @ .875-ish

However has only about 2 dozen At Bats vs. Lefties, around 150 total AB. Hinch still bringing him along slowly there.

I fully agree. It just shows you that he’s adept at making adjustments where other super hyped up prospects were not able to do. If anything I think he’s showing more and more to look like a worthy investment compared to a lot of these other guys given his card’s current going prices. He might even make it to this year’s All-Star Game if his hitting adjustments continue.

Not as hot as his first week but he seems to settled and doing great. I just got this card in the mail from topps. Topps update it is.

I like this guy. I hope he keeps improving and playing hard. It's good to see a largely unheralded prospect producing in the big leagues.

His T206 card is starting to move. I guess it is his only pack pulled rc that's not a redemption right now. I've got one for a set, but no extras unfortunately. There are some parallels with very low print runs as well that aren't numbered.

Why are people so quite on Akil and sleeping on him as ROY, his leading all rookies in WAR, and good HR and Stolen bases, I can see 20/20 this year and at 22 younger then almost all the rookies this year.

He is the top rookie in update this year. i hope he starts to show up in more sets before the year ends.

Personally I’m a big fan because he seems like a nice guy having a ton of fun. I hope he keeps it up. His projections and peripherals suggest they won’t.
