Haha.

Sounds like you two agree, or basically agree.

Edit: those quotes are from page 16 of this thread if you can't find them

Ah. I vaguely remember going over the print run already, thanks for locating it.

It seems the ultimate data point there that even the PP estimate is based on goes back to the green approximation of 1:150 packs. Particularly your decently large sample size of opening cases on epack.

I think with a sample size that large, greens about 1:150 is pretty well supported, and PP then work out to be ~ /20.

It still depends on greens being seeded the same in epack vs physical, but I don’t see why they wouldn’t be.

I don't see why they wouldn't be either. I'm sure he has a better argument than "I opened a lot" though (even though he opened a lot too )...haha.

I think 20-30 (25) seems "right".

It's all an attempt at creating an educated guess as to overall print run. It's not doctrine.

Obviously, people were guessing at a Platinum Portraits print run in the 20-30 range, so that seemed like a good place to start.

Now we need to process or disprove.

It just happens that starting this with a 25-quantity print run produces an image of a case break that lines up with a lot of cases breaks on here, Epack, and out in the real world.

7 Reds and 6 Pinks, along with 2 Purely Periodics seems to be the norm on cases breaks. And if that's an average case break, we're at 2500 cases.

If we're at 2500 cases, we're at 25 Platinum Portraits.

But again, is it exact? Probably not. But I think we're within 10%...so 2500-2750 cases.

Looks great together. I'm liking a pink a good bit.

That's a cool background to rainbow. Good choice.

After going pretty hard at X-Men Metal ePack, I ordered them up for delivery and finally got them.

I spent a lot of time and resources chasing the black Ultimate Wolverine. Pretty underwhelmed at the look of the card. The high series base even look nicer than it. Hopefully the market looks at its 100 base cost and rarity as a + in the long run.

My Red PMG's are nothing to write home about but I love the Juggernaut.

The Geodes and Palladium are awesome in-hand. As is the Grandiose.

I don't expect these to match the insane Marvel prices that have made the rounds but I can't help but think this set is super under-priced right now. Seriously considering doing some eBay sweeping.

I didn't see it but I'd assume the vast majority of the purple 1/1's have been pulled.

COMC ships your cards whether or not you have them shipped on UD or transfer to COMC. My personal preference is to transfer to COMC and then ship. With that said, COMC has been VERY fast as of late when shipping. I think the last shipment I got took maybe 5 business days.

The high series was in the physical product and not on epack so wouldn’t be surprised if it hasn’t been pulled yet.

Any thoughts on what a high series Dazzler (#122) Green PMG should cost if I wanted to try to buy one? Don't see any completed sales on eBay. Some have sold on COMC but I don't have history points to see price(s). Thanks.

One sold for $300 on there fairly recently. I know because I stupidly made an offer on it, instead of buying it, and like 10 minutes later it was sold. Doh.

If you go check ended prices on eBay and the lowest asks on COMC, all the greens are up a lot. I'm not going to guess because I don't want to put ideas into people's heads as far as pricing goes...but needless to say more than $300.

Dazzler high series is a nice card. The artwork is one of my favorites. From what I gather she'll be in the MCU.

Bob Larkin’s great artwork from Dazzler #1.

Big fan of his work in general, he has a nice triptych in the 2017 FUSM legacy insert set, and of course many iconic pieces from 90s Marvel cards, including my avi

Hadn't heard that before. Maybe I'll sit on my Purple FX 1/1 for a while.

Apparently Disney was looking for an older teen/early twenties actress that can sing and dance. Figured that's pretty normal for them with the shows they do anyway but someone believed it was for a Marvel role.

Ah, yeah, just looked into that. I guess it's possible, but seems like a bit of a reach, especially for Ant-Man and the Wasp, characters to whom she has no real established connection.

I guess this is a bit OT, but if I had to bet, I would think they introduce mutants through Rogue and Mystique in the next Captain Marvel movie. The connection is already there, it would deal with the problem that Carol Danvers is just too damned powerful, and it would be a good way to bring in relatively low-powered mutants as a threat without immediately going to Xavier/Magneto/Apocalypse.
