Nice, thought about swooping up a Quark.

Thinking about picking these up. Figured I could start a Star Trek set of them

I like pretty much all years of Finest. That being said, $200+ after fees for a box I must pass. I will definitely be looking for Mize rookies and Miggy though

It's live. Couldn't click the link to the page, just had to add to cart from the boxes and packs page:

Topps is so generous to limit us to 1 box so that we can build a community where we trade cards with each other to build sets. I also appreciate that they quadrupled the price and charge for shipping, so scalpers will stay away. This is good for the consumer! /s

Am I crazy in thinking that this product has to be very short printed given that even beyond the limit of 1 box for each 582 member they are limiting purchases to the general public of 1 box per customer? If we all agree that Topps has in the past catered to the bots and flippers why make it so hard to purchase this specific product? Even shipping just 1 box to lots of customers as opposed to shipping many boxes to fewer customers makes no sense unless there is not a lot of product.

I don't think necessarily short printed but maybe they kept the same structure and print run as last year which was around 9,500 boxes. We won't know for sure until we have both a checklist and pack odds, though.

there is no reason for Topps to short print anything

Houdini noted in a tweet the possibility of the product being cut but it was unclear what he meant. Not sure if it was due to PR reduction or something else. But yeah, last year 3 for MCs and 2 for public and now only 1 each. It would be amazing if there was a cut in PR for the product. But it was already low last year I thought.

Then why impose any limits? Topps should want a free for all.

Last years print was perfect and created demand for the refractors/autos. The base singles sold about where you would expect and were still desired cards for rookies and stars, but refractors and autos of those same players were BIG cards.

All I hoped was that they wouldn't ruin this product with a higher print run like they have done with other releases in 2021. I know a lot of people don't like the 94 design but it is very nostalgic for me. It looks like they may have kept it the same print run as last year, and if that's a case, this will be a desired set and these box prices will climb, just like last year.

Is a box of the original 94 finest cheaper?

Makes sense. I just took a flyer for a second box on the bay and hopefully buyer will not cancel. I just get the feeling that there is some real upside here even with, what is right now, a meh rookie class.

It would be a nice "plot twist" if these were SSP'd where Monty members and those who jumped on today get a box, and it's revealed something crazy like 25 refractors for each card, or the print run was sliced in half, creating a "buzz" amongst collectors after the Fanatics news..doubt that would happen but would be really cool to have it super super limited...

Give me one good reason why Topps would limit any print runs going forward. They lost their license with MLB, nothing left to do besides run the presses.

Then why limit it to 1 box per customer - period?
